Date food.

Hi,

Having a discussion about this in chat and thought it would be interesting to bring it here :P

I think Im going on a date next week and was choosing between whether to take the man to gourmet burger kitchen or mexican. I was saying that burger is probably one of the worst foods (after spaghetti) to eat on a date because its not at all graceful. However the mexican has it flaws too (mainly that mexican cocktails are my fav and I dont want temptation in my way :3)

So which type of food/restaurant would you choose for a first date?

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.

I stay at home and pet my cats... except my cats are imaginary, since I am allergic to real cats...

I stay at home at pet my cat. She's a babe. But I'd say Pizza, as its relaxed and easy going, yet if you go to a posh pizza place it can be a bit classy. (as far as pizza goes) Also most people like pizza. Burgers can be messy!
I think Wagamama should be on this list ;)

I'd opt for chinese, not really messy/fussy/ungraceful and it's enjoyable (I quite like chinese anyway) so it'd appeal to me for those reasons.

You don't want anything smelly or messy!

Indeed!

See I think its GBK for me,but thats mostly down to location! Although now Im kind of thinking that I dont want to be super full as I want to take him to the royal observatory and the cutty sark boat and then go for drinks :3

I went for a curry on one date and it was a disaster, mostly because the food wasnt that good and plus the portions were massive D:

Now....how do I eat a burger gracefully? :D x

Yeah if your planning to do that after, you don't want to be too full! You can always grab dessert later on at a cafe or something if you get peckish later on.

im going to hide out at the observatory and throw bits of snow at you.

If it were me, i would probably just go to a nice pub and eat pub food there.

There are tonnes of nice pubs in Greenwich.

Also, by the cutty sark theres a nandos and a frankie and bennys.
