I am currently:
Not knowing what you can eat

Does anyone else have this problem?

Realistically I know the answer is anything but it doesn't feel like it. I swear that this is one of the main problems I have. I don’t know what I can eat so I don’t eat.

Half the time I am in the mindset where I would allow myself to eat but it don’t know what that item is. Even with a fridge and cupboards full of food I don't know what I am 'allowed' any more. It used to be ok as I had set foods I could eat, that has all changed now. I don't know what to do. I just don't seem to be able to get over the mental block between being an item and being allowed to eat it.

Has anyone dealt with this? How did you overcome it?

Just me really. I can't cope with others interfering with my eating it just makes it 100x worse

Have you tried writing out a meal plan to see if that helps? Most are standard 3 meals and 3 snacks a day.
If you're having problems with choice then could you stick to simple things e.g. a sandwich for lunch.

My dietician wrote me up a few meal plans several months back but I have never been able to achieve any of them. There just seems to be so much food on the page which panics me and I end up failing. I know that is stupid but I am really struggling with 'normal' amounts of food so I have to try and get my calories where I can, which I am not doing too well with.

I am exactly like you .. I have good and bad foods ... Even though really - everything is good for you and one particular food group in small quantities isn't gonna make a person fat but it doesn't stop us feeling that way .. What i try and do is force myself to have a chocolate etc if i fancy one ... Or something like that .. I still cant bring myself to eat hearty meals but allowing yourself a daily small treat could be a start :) .. After a week or so the fear should die down and you may be able to introduce other things you like to eat ? Xxx

It isn't stupid. It sounds like you're really struggling. Maybe try something simple. Good luck.
