I still need to play oblivion. I had to start again on skyrim because there was a glitch in my game that meant I couldn't continue with the main quest. I am level 25 now :P
Never forget what you are for the rest of the world will not.
Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you
Im trying to finish up the last few side missions on Assassins Creed 3, before delving into the last few main storyline missions.
Then im gonna start on Skyrim again as the new DLC Dragonborn is out and i wanna ride a dragon. http://www.cad-comic.com/cad/20121205
Cuz we all spend half our time running around, f*cked out of our minds
And we spend the other half sleeping at desks and praying just to get back...
Earlier today I ran afoul of the Clavicus Vile bug in Oblivion (ie. the bug that causes the game to crash when you finish the quest), and I just spent the last hour figuring out how to connect to Xbox Live so I could patch it. Success!
Just finished the main quest line is Skyrim last night. I'm pretty sure my life is over. :(
Only until The Elder Scrolls Online comes out! I'll be deliberately avoiding that though, simply because I can't afford to play subscription-based games.
I got started on the main questline of Oblivion today, for the first time ever. I've decided I'm not going to bother with the Thieves Guild - I tried it, but while trying to sell some stuff to the fence in Bruma all the guards suddenly started trying to kill me and each other for no apparent reason. I got a little freaked out and loaded an earlier save. So yeah, once I'm finished with the main quest I'm going to consider the game finally completed. Then I might give Morrowind another go, but I haven't decided yet.
Alright, I suppose I might as well give it another go. I just can't figure out what the hell happened earlier, it was literally a riot in the middle of Bruma. I don't know if it was a bug or what, or if it was even related to me trying to sell to the fence. :P I'll try again and see what happens.
I've made a little progress in the Thieves Guild and I've had some fun moments so far. My favourite was being chased from Cheydinhal almost all the way to Imperial City by a single guard. I thought I'd never lose him until I led him into a pack of minotaurs. They solved the problem for me. :P
Thanks for pressuring me to do the Thieves Guild questline Carmen, because you're right, it really is a lot of fun! I think I'm getting more or less near the end of it now. Humming the Metal Gear Solid theme and barking "GOOD JOB SNAKE" after I complete a mission has yet to stop being funny.
I just finished Oblivion for the first time. Final playtime: 90 hours, 49 minutes. Not the longest I've ever spent on a single game, but definitely in the top three. Next I'll either play Morrowind or Skyrim... screw it, I'll go with Morrowind. It's about time I gave that game a fair chance.
I played a little Morrowind last night, and although I'm determined to stick with it and give it a fair chance, I must say it is a big step down from Oblivion. The combat isn't anywhere near as good and the game is VERY slow. I'm told that the pace picks up once your Athletics skill gets higher though. The game runs like a dream on my laptop (I first played it on a very old computer which did a lousy job of it) but amusingly enough, my graphics card renders the sun as a black hole for some reason.
I've tried the same thing many times but just couldn't stick with it beyond 20% or so. You're right though, I think it gets WAY more hate than it deserves. A lot of the hate seems to be pointed at the fact that it's apparently a "dress-up simulator," but you could say the same about any FF game with a job system, and the fact is, FFX-2's job system, for all its flashing lights and glitter and dumb costumes, is damn good. And I really like the combat system too; it's very fast and a lot of fun. That said, it's not a great game by any stretch of the imagination. It's okay at best. But still not as bad as everyone claims.
In addition to playing Morrowind I've been playing through the Story Mode of WWE Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain, which has a silly title but remains the best damn wrestling game I've ever played, nine years after its release. I hadn't played it in years and years and years, and I'd actually forgotten how much fun it is.
Having given it what I consider a fair chance, I can safely say f*ck Morrowind. I think Oblivion and Skyrim have spoiled me a little because they improved upon Morrowind's formula to such a huge degree that Morrowind simply isn't fun by comparison. So I've now officially given up on it.
Instead, I decided to treat myself to an early Christmas present today: I finally bought WWE 13, as per my Christmas tradition. And it's awesome.
My third post in a row; I'm starting to wonder if everyone else has forgotten this thread. :P
Anyway, WWE 13. I'm playing through the Attitude Era mode, and for a while there I thought "Finally, THQ has stopped making their story modes so ridiculously, unfairly, impossibly hard. It's challenging but at least the game isn't f*cking me over at every turn like previous games in the series." And then I got to Chris Jericho vs. Road Dogg, with the strictest freaking time limit I've ever seen. That match demands nothing less than perfection from the player, and doesn't care how many controllers get angrily thrown at the TV in the process. THQ, why must you be so unfair?
Super metroid, and halo 4. Super metroid is so damn good.
I've been meaning to buy a copy of super metroid for aaaaaaaaages. Such a shame I have to spend my money on necessities rather than games

I've never got 100% on that either, I really should go back to it, I really want to see that perfect ending and won't allow myself to youtube it.
I've been meaning to start Final Fantasy Tactics for ages, but it seems like it requires a lot of time since it seems quite complex so I just haven't got round to it.
Oh god I want to hear you say,
I want to hear you say that you were wrong again
This is the first thing
