How do you pronounce Z?

Your zebra argument doesn't make sense. What we name letters, and how they're pronounced within a word are two completely different things. "zed-bra" makes as much sense as saying "em-other" for mother because M is pronounced "em", or "double-u-orking" because W is "double u". Therefore, argument kind of overturned.

American here, so I say zee. I've always thought "zed" sounds kind of weird, but I suppose that's just because it's not what I've grown up with - just like "zee" sounds weird to a lot of you. :) I can definitely see how "zed" would make more sense when trying to spell something out over the phone, though - waaaay too many letters that end with the "ee" sound!

Zed sounds wrong, outside of using it in a name. But y'all call cookies- cakes or crisps or something like that, so not too surprised.
