Can a virgin still get pregnant? *Adult*

So just a heads up, I have anxiety issues to begin with. And okay, so I know the chances are virtually nill but I'm being that typical 16 year old girl who is way overreacting and I'd just like it if someone could please calm me down and get me to relax... please just reassure me because with each day that passes my level of anxiety increases tenfold.

I'm a virgin, and my boyfriend and I are always careful even when we mess around... but last time we messed around I'm pretty sure he finished himself so... I'm not sure if maybe he got any cum on his fingertips. I was really caught up in the moment and we didn't even think about it. Even then it would have been "cleaned off" by either of us sucking on it but then he fingered me for quite a long time and I know you can get pregnant even by precum, but it was just his finger... but he did get really deep...

(Also I'm a virgin but I'm pretty sure my hymen already broke).

And well, my periods are always really irregular and really heavy...

They've always been so irregular I don't even bother recording them because normally I can just tell. Except one day it can earlier with no warning while we were intimate and it was mortifying so I have tried to start recording anyway.

I had one June 2, one June 28, but I haven't had one since and now it's August 10 and I'm freaking out. That's a long time!

I can't be a pregnant 16 year old virgin. Holy ****. That would be... unheard of. I feel stupid but my imagination is getting the best of me... And my anxiety issues are not helping so I basically want someone to calm me...

Also, I'm going to his house tomorrow... Should I tell him I'm on my period even though I'm technically not yet just to avoid it coming while we are intimate again?

The only thing that is going to ease your mind is a pregnancy test, and they are quite cheap from pharmacies.

If he had sperm on his finger then yes, there is a chance (however small) that you could be pregnant, but like I say, only a pregnancy test is going to tell you and calm you down. The sooner you get one, the better (as long as it's been a few weeks since the event).

It is quite unlikely you are pregnant but if it helps ease your mind then do a pregnancy test just to make sure. Take care

Yup, what those before me said. It is extremely rare for a pregnancy to happen that way, but it is technically scientifically possible. The more likely scenario is that you have irregular cycles, and this is just a long one. Stress and anxiety can keep it from coming longer, and as an extra bonus (I use that term sarcastically) they can also cause pregnancy symptoms. I'm not sure what country you're in, but in America they sell pregnancy tests at Dollar Tree stores. They only cost a dollar and are accurate if used correctly. Make sure you have disposable bathroom cups if it's a cassette test (the box will tell you.)

Also, have you ever seen your doctor about your irregular periods? A lot of ladies take a while to "even out" after they start, but if they are crazily irregular it might be worth talking to your doctor about.

Either way, good luck and be safe.

But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. Also he got a race car. Is any of this getting through to you?" ~ Philip J. Fry

Could you possibly be pregnant? Yes
Is it likely? No.

But as others have said a pregnancy test will soon give you an answer.

Have you considered going on the pill? It may help regulate your periods (as well as protecting against scares like this in future)

Have you considered going on the pill? or some other contraceptive? I went on the pill before I had sex, and it was brilliant! Regulated periods and no pregnancy scares!

That is extremely incorrect, you do not have to have sex in order to become pregnant, all you need is just one sperm in order to do that and that can happen if for example a man has not wash his hands after getting sperm on them and touches you straight after.

While the scenario is very rare, you do not need to have sex in order to get pregnant, so yes virgins can get pregnant if they are touched and get any sperm in or at the opening of their vagina.

As everyone else said take a pregnancy test to put your mind at ease.

I would suggest reading the OPs post more thoroughly before replying since as everyone else has stated in certain circumstances it is possible she could be pregnant.

I agree with what everyone else has said. Getting a test sounds like a good idea so you can relax, and just bear things like this in mind for the future.

Are you on any kind of contraception? The combined contraceptive pill might be a good idea for you since it will regulate your periods as well as give you reliable contraception if used correctly. Can you talk to your doctor or a clinic about contraception?

So thank god I got my period finallllly...

I'm going to start a new thread for my next question concerning this crazy cycle but thanks for everyone's help.

Sometimes it's nice just to get someone to tell me to chill when my anxiety gets skyrocketed like that..

Thanks again.
