Growing up I've wanted to be:
A hairdresser, teacher, news reporter, witch, actress (between the ages 5-10), art teacher (11-16), Journalist, art therapist (16-18), mental health nurse or psychotherapist (19-20) then counselling psychologist which I'm aiming for currently.
:)

Before I was 11 I literally didn't come up with any jobs; I wasn't like an 'average' kid that has a long ever-changing list of what they wanted to be (my brother wanted to be a pilot, a fire-fighter, a clown(!), a body builder, a gladiator, I think a historian, a singer, a journalist, a sound engineer).
When I was 11 I decided I wanted to be a vet; 14yrs on I've changed a LOT but I've stuck by that. When I see 6yr olds coming in saying they'd 'love to be a vet', I just stand there and think, 'I bet that'll change when you're older. It's a job many kids dream of though the reality of it isn't the same as what many people think, especially not little kids. Saying that, I don't regret it at all but to be a vet there is 1 thing, you have to be a total loon. I've met a fair few vets and I'm not sure I've never met a sane 1, they don't exist. It should be the first question they ask at a vet school interview "are you totally off your head?" and if they say no they're out!!!
I don't remember if I had any dreams of what I wanted to be when I was a kid. I remember that I always wanted to ride horses and perform in a Circus. I do both now... as a hobby.
You survived the abuse.
You're gonna survive the recovery.
I always wanted to be a journalist. I even finished my degree to go into it, but along the way decided law would have better hours....not sure how I figured that out.
For a little while I wanted to be a midwife, then a teacher because I loved school and didn't want to leave - but mostly I wanted to be an archaeologist..would still love to do that but it's not an ideal career for a single mother!! I did do a classical studies degree, but I don't use it and currently work doing admin for a legal insurance company; which is a little different to my dreams but I'm happy enough I suppose so shouldn't complain!
I wanted to be a paramedic(I am fascinated by them and the work they do) but I have a blood phobia So now I want to be a journalist or work with animals some way or another.
When i was around 4 or 5 i really wanted to be a burglar. I thought it would be dead easy to just run around and steal other people's stuff. Sadly it was then pointed out to me by the staff in the kíndergarden that burglars are sent to jail if they get caught.... KInda ruined my moment there...
When I was little (in primary school) I wanted to be a vet, then in high school I wanted to be a lawyer, paramedic or counsiller and now im doing an animal management degree. Guess It sort of worked out in the end
I wanted to be a fire fighter when I was little and would run around the house dressed up as one. Then wanted to be a professional violinist, the a professional trumpet player, then a professional french horn player, then a pe or music teacher, then an army musician.
I now at music college studying music performing on french horn and I hope to join the army after as a musician.

I am transsexual and homoromantic and proud to be.
I wanted to be anything in healthcare. I ran through the entire range of healthcare options before focusing on nursing.
Just about to make that a reality! :D
And no, despite what some sources claim about transgender men, many of us didn't "want to be boys" as kids, or ask our moms when we'd grow penises :p. I certainly didn't.
My name is Matt, and I am a boy. Feel free to PM me :)
I have learned that the world is not a safe place. Not at all. But there are so many people who love me and want to keep me safe. And that is enough.
I wanted to be a writer. Still do. But there's not much money in that so I'm following my second dream, which is to be a University professor. Just in the middle of my PhD on comics. Going to be an awesome professor! :P
I wanted to be an astronaut. I got my degree in aeronautical engineering, but that's as far as I've gotten! And it's looking like it probably won't go any further :P
Wake me up before I change again
Remind me the story that I won't get insane
Tell me why it's always the same
Explain me the reason why I'm so much in pain.
