Hey there :)
I'm Shinx, 20 years old, genderfluid, poly/pansexual.
I've been self harming on and off since I was 12 and have also struggled with alcohol and drug addiction but that's under control for now. I recently attempted suicide for the first time.
I genuinely can't remember the last time I was truly happy. I think the closest I come to being happy is when I see my partner smile. Most of the time I feel like a bad person even though I try to be good to people.
I'm diagnosed with major depression by my GP and waiting for an appointment with a psychologist. I'm currently taking Citalopram and was also offered anti-psychotic medication which I turned down but I'm starting to regret that now.
I'm hoping to get some help and support from this community and hopefully also be able to help other people.

To be honest I just didn't trust it. I went for an assessment with a psychiatrist who told me I wasn't experiencing psychotic symptoms but he would recommend the GP prescribe a low dose for anxiety. Then when I went back to the GP, he'd told her something different and they were actually to help manage psychotic symptoms.
I wasn't really sure what they were supposed to be for but when I was offered them, neither the "psychotic symptoms" or anxiety were bothering me that much. They're both coming back now though :/
