When we lose twenty pounds... we may be losing the twenty best pounds we have! We may be losing the pounds that contain our genius, our humanity, our love and honesty. ~Woody Allen

Tonight's penultimate episode was amaazing.
I'm trying to resist reading up on next week's so not to spoil it for myself, but I just want to know what happens now.
“Never lose faith in yourself,
and never lose hope;
remember, even when this world throws its worst and then turns its back,
there is still always hope.”

I kind of wish when the bomb failed to go off it just killed brody but then I really liked Carrie's character!!!!
Also it annoyed me she got ECT and the whole remembering abu nazirs sons name just felt full on fake and yep!

Argh, I agree!
It sounds awful, but I really really wanted the bomb to go off... Wrong, I know, but I didn't feel much sympathy for the presidential people, and more than anything didn't want Brody around anymore! I feel like he has the potential to now do worse things, and if the bomb had gone off at least that would have been the extent of it.. well, kind of, for now. I know he's troubled, and complex, etc, but yeah...
& yes, Carrie & ECT, gah! I was willing for her to change her mind, and not go through with it. I like her, a lot.

I guess it is that potential that kept him around. The alternative was to just have Tom Walker survive and/or find a new character to do Nazir's nefarious bidding. And Walker at present is an outsider, with none of the connections or deep cover that Brody has built up. Like Carrie kept saying, the lone sniper routine is not Nazir's style.
Yeah, I kind of thought she might change her mind at the last moment. Like when she made the connection with Issa, but I guess it was a bit late by then. Oh well, I am sure the short term memory loss will be a plot device next season.
