When it's that time of the month have you ever felt the urge to run a marathon, or sky dive, or bike ride like those women in the panty liner commercials?
Just curious because in my limited experience that is far from the truth.

Letting it get to you - You know what that's called? Being alive. Best thing there is. Being alive right now that's all that counts. ~ Doctor Who "The Doctors Wife" 06.November.2011
The adverts should just be a woman in an old nightie and joggers with Hot Chocolate on them stains holding a hot water bottle, looking angry. With the tag line 'I have PMS and a small nuclear device. Any suggestions?'
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
No matter how super-absorbent those things get, there ain't a panty-liner in the world that will absorb the world-consuming rage of a PMS-ing woman. Someone needs to invent something for that.

Pretty much this. Or a woman sobbing in the corner saying that "periods are like dementors: they suck all the joy out of you."
I dont ever want to run a marathon, even when not on my period. However saying that my period doesnt affect me at all, no cramps, mood changes or anything. its bizarre!x
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
I generally want to curl up in a ball, scream, take lots of prescription drugs and stay at home in bed all day with an attractive man lying next to me rubbing my back constantly for hours on end.
Never happens though.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break
that its heart may stand in the sun,
so must you know pain.
There are only two ways in which one can live their life. One is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is.
Gosh I can't imagine wanting to run a marathon when I'm on my period!
For the most part, I just sit on the toilet crying and try not to feel triggered by the amount of red liquid that surrounds me. Yes, I generally have very heavy periods :/
Iv climbed a few mountains with mine.... but lets be honest I was forced to- sucks when you work in the big outdoors..... :) Curling up with a good book and some really good pain killers sounds good to me
Doing what you love can be the loneliest time of your life
A climbers day starts at the crux, getting out of bed.
Oh god no, no physical activity whatsoever. They're not as bad now, but I used to get terrible pains. I thought I'd go for a shower once and ended up collapsing at the top of the stairs, pathetically calling out my little brother's name who didn't have a CLUE what to do, especially when I just went 'IT'S MY WOMANLY TIME. HELP ME.'
I think he's been mentally scarred ever since.
I'm gonna tap him like a maple tree. I'm gonna search him for some syrups. I'm gonna be having sex with him.

This.
I might get the odd cramp, but nothing unbearable.
Oh god no, those are the last things on my mind during that time. I'm usually in bed, unable to move, screaming because of the pain. I've been known to collapse because of them before as well so running a marathon is definitely a huge no no.
We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken
My recent periods have been free of cramps which has got to be awesome!
However, I am best avoided at the time of the month. I've even been sent home from work because I was/am too emotional to deal with and could barely stand for cramps and vomiting. If you don't want to see me cry, avoid me on my period!
Tea and bananas can help though. I love them and they are helpful at le time of the period.
