First: *BIG hugs* I've been there, and it's terrifying to even think you might be, isn't it?
The only thing I can say is take it one step at a time. First, buy and take the test and book a doctor's appointment so they can test as well - no matter what.
If the test comes up positive, your next step is to talk to your doctor, and they can help you figure out what options are available, and which one would work the best for you. The can also put you in touch with people who can provide you will help and support no matter what your choice is - because whatever you choose to do, you shouldn't have to go through it alone. *hugs*
If the test is negative, your next step is to ask your doctor about what methods of birth control are available to you. If you can find something that is effective for you and that you're happy with, then you'll be protected until you and your honey decide you're ready for little ones, so you don't have to go through this kind of stress and worry again.
Just think of it as one thing at a time. Sometimes that, and having a plan either way, really makes things seem less scary. I know it did for me.
I hope everything works out the way you're hoping it will, and I wish you all the best. I'll be thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way. *hugs*
