Perfect life

So what would you guys and gals consider a perfect life?
For me it would be owning a bar in Brooklyn, New York. Not a fancy one but a little neighborhood one where I knew the customers and I could chat with them. A wife that is just absolutely 100% in love with me and two kids, a daughter and a son but the son is older and protective over her (so I don't have to worry as much) Volunteer fireman in my free time. A good core group of friends that truly enjoy my company and I enjoy being around. After my kids graduate highschool I sell my bar and divide the proceeds between them so they can do whatever they want with their lives, no matter what if they're happy I will be happy too. Then me and my wife will travel the world and come back every Christmas to see my children. Then when I have grandchildren I'll settle back down and be a loving grandfather.
Sadly, none of this will happen.

Mine's pretty similar, really. I'd like to work a job-share or part-time ideally as a dietitian or an art therapist or something similar, for the NHS, and in my spare time I'd like to 'brush up' on my painting skills and hopefully even be able to sell some of my paintings to bring in a bit of extra money (it would be wonderful to have my own exhibition one day).

I don't really mind too much where I live except that I want my parents and brother around, and I would love to get married to someone who loved me as unconditionally as is reasonable, and have two children, also a daughter and a son and have a mortgage on a little house with a pretty back garden where we could all sit out as a family in the summer with candles lit and just go to magical places. I'd like to have friends, too, but once I'm working and have a family there might not be too much time to see friends often. I'd like it if we were all one big happy family who went out for Sunday lunch and for walks.

I'd like to keep fit, maybe start swimming again and do Swimathons to raise money for mental health or the NSPCC, and I'd like to maybe sing (am thinking about joining a rock choir near me, they get to perform too, I'm pretty tone-deaf though so hope I don't ruin them!)

I think all this might be possible one day, might take me until I'm 40 but I'll get there, I hope. Can I ask why none of this will happen for you? I know life puts obstacles in people's way but a lot of these can be overcome with tenacity, faith and hard work.

Well partially because I doubt I'll find a woman that loves me, partially because I 'm Canadian and Immigration the the US is ****, and partially because I don't have the resources or money to start up a bar, I'll try but I more than likely will not succeed.

In short: finding the person I stay connected to all the time and heading out in to the world to expand our minds together. I want her to sing on stage songs we both wrote while I play guitar behind her, each of us keeping the other going at all times.

Big ideas require support and support requires finding the right people who understand your goal and share the passion for it. With that key ingredient, I think anyone can accomplish anything.

You are ahead of a lot of people already: you can define what would make you happy and you have the strength to acknowledge it. Maybe that says you're ready to make it happen.

And your heart seems big and intact. If you're having a hard time meeting that person, it may just be communication.

Without knowing you at all, this is of course I giant assumption, but think of alternative methods of expressing yourself. One theory would be to express your verbal and body language the way it would be the most receptive to you. That way, when the right person hears/sees it, they'll identify with it, identify with the real you, and less words will need to be spoken to get massive thoughts/feelings across... a short cut to the warm fluid that is beyond technical thoughts and the part that separates us from machines.

I don't know what kind of situation you are in, but as a human being, it is your right to change the situation.

Make it happen. With everything inside you and with everything you generate in the future, make it happen.

Mine is pretty normal and I don't want much.

A perfect life for me would be being happy (which is a feeling I am not accustomed to). Owning my own book store and having someone I love by my side. Having a few kids one day and adopting kids as well (I want a big family). I don't want tons of money I just want to be able to give my kids things I never had growing up and being able to let them live worry free and be happy. Having my family around me and just enjoying life. Helping others and sharing my story with others so that they will realize it gets better.

I know mine is rather boring but honestly all I really want in life is to be happy and be surrounded by people who I love and who love me. I want to figure out who I am and hopefully learn not to be afraid of life.

And that's really sad. It was almost like a reverse nightmare,
like when you wake up from a nightmare you're so relieved.
I woke up into a nightmare.”

I'd just like a better mental and physical health, my life is pretty good as it is at the moment, I'd just like to be able to grasp it with both hands :)

Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.

To be happy more than I'm unhappy, to be well liked have no one dislike/hate me (this is an imaginary world remember ;-p), to have a successful job in a caring setting but enough money that I only had to work the hours I wanted, enough money to not have to worry about finances, to have a lovely partner, a nice house and plenty of pets, be beautiful. My aunty and the rest of the family coming and apologising would be a winner too. Oh and I'd have got a first on my psychiatric nursing course ;-p

Get a BSc, then an MSc and a PhD in Pharmacology (my dad's got all three but his are in Civil Engineering). Then get a job in drug research. Then discover an amazing drug and win a prize for it. Then retire as late as possible. Then spend my retirement going on long train journeys, reading my favourite textbooks and spending time with my best friend (as we plan to live together once I'm done with supported housing).

I'm actually already doing my BSc in Pharmacology :)

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

My perfect life would be to have healthy/happy children of my own and be married to my current fiancee. I'd like to be a qualified counsellor and publish a book (maybe a few more poems as well). I'd be happy in any profession that involves helping others.
I'd like to feel comfortable in my own skin, live in a small house (I've only ever lived in flats) and be happy.
