my guess is because she is on when she changes. ...
alot of times one personality will know all of what the other(s) know, but the original person wont know about the others think or know.
so Tarek knows Jennas thoughts and actions, but when he takes over.. once he goes she doesnt know what happened, what "he" said or did... or anything.
its why disassociating kind of works as an escapism method.
it may sound odd, but while she is him, she doesnt have to feel the pain of memories of what was done to her. by becoming the "him" who says she deserved it she is showing that she blames herself, and hates that her sexuality is how it is. but HE has to show us this, because her original mind cant handle the huge load.

You shouldn't hang your head in shame. It's not your fault. There are certain things that you feel you need to hide and things you're willing to tell. I'm not saying that it's a good thing that you're not telling, I'm just saying tell when you're comfortable.
