hospitalization

hi.

i just went on medication on monday and i don't really remember anything other than my hallucinations and sleep from since then but my mom and teachers say its really bad and i might be hospitalized if i dont do better next week or the week after and i think that would really be better for me because im not dealing well and i dont feel safe.

i have a question though.

have you ever been hospitalized and if so what was it like is it ok good or ok bad and how was it getting out how long did you stay?

thanks.

I have been in hospital about 5 times or so.

And every experience was different because I was in a different state of mind each time.
If you want to get better then hospital can really help you gain control over your symptoms. If you don't wanna get better it can feel a bit like prison.

No one can tell you how hospital will be for you, you have to experience it for yourself.

I hope you get better soon though and don't have to in at all.

Been in twice. It is boring. Take simple things to do, music to listen to on headphones, and a videotape toy for when you feel homesick.
Will depend a lot on what ward and why you are there though.

I like in the UK and am an adult so those factor will/may be different.

The first time I was in hospital I loathed it. The whole experience was mainly negative and I couldn't wait to get out and never go back in!!

The last two times however things changed and whilst I didn't like being in hospital I found it beneficial and as the staff got to know me I got more freedom and so on.

I have been in hospital twice
my experiences weren't completely awful, but I was pretty boring and scary the first time
and I went in for a suicide attempt both times. I think the experience will depend on the nurses that are there and the doctor who watches you. (But I am in the United States so I don't know if the hospital is different in the UK or in your country)

My first time I stayed for three days in the ER. I pretty much laid in bed the entire time and had to be checked on every few hours by the nurses and psych. My recently visit I only stayed for a night and I was released the next morning provided I am being under heavy surveillence by a social worker, who basically calls and comes over to see how I am doing.

I think also, it depends on the wars you are in, how long you stay, and why you are staying. For me it felt like prison and being in a cage but I always feel very very safe and taken care of. So, it depends really

as others have said, it depends on wards/hospitals and stuff.

ive have been in a lot of hospitals, both adolescent and adult, and even the ones of the same security are very, very different to each other. so cant really say how it will be unless we had been on that very ward.

im not going to lie, its not fun, and should be avoided unless absolutley necessary. also, as said above, you have to want to get better, really want to, otherwise, hospital is just frustrating.

I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!

Who else is fine?!?!?
