Calmness = depression and obesity

"People who remain calm in stressful situations have higher rates of depression and obesity, a study finds"

Views?

I personally am very calm, fat and have had depression. Coincidence?

Yeah really...I'm really high strung, but I'm depressed and I suppose would be considered "fat".

Hm, what's that line about correlation and causation? Yeah. This sounds silly.

i portray myself as being calm but I bottle it up admittedly and I direct my anger inward, that makes me depressed.

Also, I'm skinny, cant put on a pound.

Take me away, I just want out from this self-imprisoned self-made Hell. Don't be surprsed, this is your mind coming to life by self-sacrifice. This tragedy of death will walk hand in hand with every thought of regret. Blame yourself for what you've become. The mind is a powerful thing set to self-destruct.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

During times I've been depressed, I've also had issues with anxiety (as I'm sure many others have too) and a pessimistic attitude / poor coping strategy to stress. Weight has far too many variable factors for their study's idea to be taken seriously.

Really just looks as if they've lobbed that sentence together randomly.

Basically that you're a calm person. It's just a saying. Hope that helps :)

People who are particularly highly strung can use more (nervous) energy therefore maybe not so prone to excessive weight. That's the only sense I can make out of it. Maybe they're also misunderstanding nervousness and hyperactivity for a brighter mood. A source would be interesting if you have one
