Sports competitions/tournaments

Anyone competing this weekend (sports)? It's my first competition I've entered rather than helped organise in years and I'm quite excited

Getting my fight back! So what's everyone else doing?

I haven't competed in anything in a long time, I'd like to though to be honest. What is it that you're competing in?

Everything passes, everything changes. Just do what you think you should do.

I have participated in a lot of sports, mostly competitively, over the years Nowadays I just run for my own exercise.

What kind of competition do you have? Good luck!

It's archery :) Competing individually and as a team so should be fun. Won't win but hoping for a personal best. Asura, I'd like to start running, how did you get into that?

Good luck for your archery! Hope it goes well for you. :) How long have you been doing archery?

I've only ever competed once, in December. I had my first semi-contact kickboxing fight and it was awesome. I actually cried at the end of the first round because I was so scared, but my club helped me lots and it was so much fun. And best feeling ever when they announced the decision! I was so proud of myself just for managing to get through it haha.

I used to be in the London team (for secondary schools) for cross-country running. But sadly since I left school I have been in any competitions. I used to run with the Wimbledon cross-country club but now I live too far away :(

I do have many parks and commons I could run on but it's too dangerous to go alone. So now I just got for runs round the streets of my area.

Good luck on your archery.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

Three or four years but I didn't usually do much shooting, especially when I wasn't feeling great with social situations. Only a year and a bit regularly but really loving it again :)

That's an amazing achievement! I was awful at sports at school. Think I only enjoy archery so much because it involves no running, jumping, throwing or catching and is really good for concentration.

Thank you. I've been running since I was 9 years old (although when I was 9 I was only running the 800m). Now I am 22 and I'm still addicted to running lol; I like running up Rose Hill when I'm at home, although Parliament Hill was a great cross-country race. And Wimbledon Common is a fantastic place to go for an 8 mile cross-country, shame I don't live near Wimbledon anymore.

Archery is definitely good for concentration. I have tried archery but I was useless at it.
