I am currently:
had a rough day, need some comfort

my dad is my biggest trigger. he always threatens to send me to a program in maine called Outward Bound for troubled teens. i recently just moved back in with him after living with my alcoholic mother for a few months because nobody at my dads could handle me or my behavior. i feel unwanted and unloved. he made me so frustrated i just wanted to bang my head into something and i honestly dont know how to cope in those situations. anybody know some exercises that help them when they get to that point? i was in the car so i couldnt leave and calm down. we were arguing about stupid teenage daughter things but we both get so heated and then he always threatens me. i always wonder why i moved back in. i have nowhere else to go. my mother got evicted and i have no other relatives who would take me in. its not a healthy environment for me at my dads. so any advice? i would very much appreciate it because i almost lost it today. i was about to jump out of the car.

I am currently:

when I was trying to stop SH, whenever I got to that point where I was about to lose it I would grab a pen and scribble down every single thought that was goin through my head at that moment. You know like all the stuff you wish you could say to your dad or whatever without him bootin yur head off hah. anyways i found that this really helps alot cause it's gettin everythin off your chest and in a way you feel like someones listening to your problems. it also distracts you for long enough until you've calmed down. and if you still feel angry just keep writing! (: hope this helps x

I am currently:

I've kept a Journal (or several) for the past 3 years. I think it helps a lot because its kind of like a therapy session that no has to hear. I also write down everything funny or happy that happens to go back and read when I am in a bad situation and need to have stress lifted off. Trust me, it helps

Programs for troubled teens are basically the same as troubled teen schools. They are a great solution for parents of troubled teens, especially those parents who have come to the end of their rope and have nowhere else to turn.

If your father really want to send you to some troubled teen programs, then try to find a program that fits your needs best.

This site offers boarding school information for parents and teens in need of help.

I am sorry you're struggling so much right now. I can relate to feeling like your Dad is your biggest trigger. I second what others have said. I keep a journal and find that it really helps. You should try it :)
