I know this is the third time I've mentioned Crisis Core, but I need to rant about it. Y'see, I've finally realised what I dislike most about the Square-Enix merger. It's not the loss of Nobuo Uematsu (he's sorely missed, but his replacements are at least competent composers), or even the loss of Hideyuki Sakaguchi (who was a relentless perfectionist, unlike the producers of every FF game since his departure).

It's the difficulty. The bend-you-over-a-barrel-and-f*ck-you-with-a-screwdriver difficulty. I wouldn't even mind, only it's completely unfair.

For example... whoever's playing FFXII (I can't remember your name, and I'm not going back to the first page to check), try and find the Zodiac Spear. Without a walkthrough. Let me know how it goes.

I saw Lego Harry Potter mentioned, my first platinum trophy was for that game. ^_^

I'm not really playing any game in particular at the moment but the last one I played on my PS3 was Lego Star Wars and the last one on my DS was Pokemon Black.

I just finished Crisis Core (I gave up on the missions around the 80% mark) about 5 minutes ago, and I'm still crying a little from the ending. It's awesome, in a tragic kind of way.

Next up, God of War!

I'm replaying Final Fantasy VII for the hundredth time, only this time it's on my PSP. I put it on there ages ago but never properly played it. To make things a bit different and more interesting I'm playing it in French.

I'd be playing FFXIV but my PC's PSU is on the blink. :(

Have you tried taking them to your local game store, they will normally do disc cleaning or scratch repair?

Great thinking! Thanks! :)

I won't be able to return God of War until Tuesday (and even then I just have to hope they have another copy), so I'm skipping it for now. Next up on my list of games to get through: Final Fantasy XII. Hoo, boy. I love this game, but it's a major commitment if you want to see everything it has to offer. Last time I played through it I logged over 115 hours, and I didn't even beat all the optional bosses. This could take a while.

How long does that take, by the way? Because I've been meaning to get a few games fixed. Also, roughly how much does it cost?

Think that's bad? About two years ago I got World of Warcraft and it took 9 hours to download all the patches and updates. I had to leave the computer on all night. In the end I played it for about a week and got bored with it. So not worth it.
