I use sweatbands loads, but I also have old scarves and bits of material that I tie round my wrists. It just looks really good, and covers up cuts and scars. I have a black and white leopard print scarf that I use nearly every day, and my friend just bought me a new green and black one :)
Am thinking about wearing skin-coloured tights made into armwarmers, but only cheap ones I can find are 15 denier, and too see through. Anyone else tried this-?
I tried to find Dermablend today in the mall (I live in Australia), but it seems it's a pretty one-of-a-kind specialised product, and is apparently kind of rare here in Australia. Any other Australians having trouble finding Dermablend? Any other similar products I could use? I've never really used this sort of makeup before, so any help would be appreciated.
sometimes when i go out i tie pretty colour ribbon around my wrists and arms, lots of people comment on their prettiness and never guess whats underneath :)
Doll-Parts, if you are still looking for information on the red cross, pm me. I hav the basic info from v2 if it is any use. If you let me know what information you require i may also e able to find it elsewhere.
hmm with skwl wat can i do to cover them cuz i dont want my scars permanetly gone but i would like to be able to not have to wear a jumper i have concealer im not sure if that will work nd i have an armband im not sure if where alowwed to wear them any other ideas on how i can hide them for skwl
Hi - I just wanted to say how helpful your tips were for covering up scars. When on holiday this summer I made a bold decision to wear sleeveless tops if the weather was conducive to this. I had some really dreadful reactions from people I knew on holiday and that has affected my confidence about letting people see them an awful lot. Since coming home I've not plucked up the courage to be so open and now the weather's getting colder I won't need the same excuse unless I'm going to a function or something where I need to wear short sleeves.
The Red Cross offer a skin camouflage service but I've emailed them for months and they have never replied. I've tried again today in the hope that they will reply this time.
I find that my family - husband and 2 adult sons - are very upset when they notice new scars and I find hiding them so stressful. It's a double edged sword really and I try so hard not to self harm but there are a lot of days when I just cannot avoid it. Hard to explain to myself far less anyone else.
I've followed the links on your email and will relook at them for ideas so thank you for that.

okay, so i'm on swim team and i'm in a PE class right now which is going to be doing a swimming unit in a matter of weeks. usually i'm able to stop cutting through swim season or at least keep it minimal, but this semester i never even thought about PE. i have pretty bad scars on my arms and thighs. how should i hid these when all i am aloud to wear for the class is a swim suit???
