Creepily enough, I was named after Eric Clapton's dead son. My dad was (and is) a huge Clapton fanboy, a trait he passed on to me (though I don't plan on naming my kids after Clapton's dead relatives).

I dunno, I was a weird kid. It's hard to single out just one event.
