Citalopram ?

i just been put on Citalopram seinse tuesday the things im i had rapid mood swings before this but know ive been put on these im finding it making the mood swings worst im raging from really happy to really down which normal do any way i dont if something i should mentaionn when i next go to the docs and when went some said to me this could be bi polar which i dont what right to do :/

As youve just been put on citalopram its a good chance that your experiencing side effects. I currently take 50mg of citalopram daily, however when i first started taking it i had all sorts of mood swings. From personal experience i found it takes 3-4weeks to adjust to them and for the side effects to subside.
It will do you no harm to mention to your doctor when you see them next whats been happening just to make sure. This form of medication might not be the right one for you, so mention everything you have experienced so they can try get you on the right stuff. I hope that is of some use. =)

it can take a while for medication to kick in and for side effects to wear off. keep going with it, and if it doesnt seem to be getting better within a couple of weeks then go back to the docs. good luck :) xxx
