This is my first oil painting, Ive painted with acrylic but never oil. I spent about a month on it. Just thought Id share it with everyone. Would like to know thoughts or suggestions. Thanks I will update this periodically, takes time to paint.
That's gorgeous! Really, I love it. I really like the difference in technique between the earth and the surrounding atmosphere, it really makes each element stand out. I think you did a great piece, especially for it being your first time using oils :)

Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world. All things can be mended. Not with time, as they say, but with intention. So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. The broken world awaits in darkness for the light that is you.

That is so beautiful. I love the texture! You have inspired me to dig out my oil paints that I purchased but never used because it seemed to complicated :P
