Tatoo?....(Does this belong here?)
I have been free for over 2 years, and have been wanting to get a butterfly tatoo on my wrist, to honor what i have gone through and came out of. I am just scared that i will slip up and then it wont mean anything.. and will just be an empty tatoo.

To me a tatoo like that will never be meaningless even if you do slip up. You have done thoes two years and that is an amazing acheavment and it always will be no matter what happenens.
Those two years are yours now and they will alwyas mean somthing and the tatoo will resemble that. Do you get what i mean? I am sorry if i am not making much sence.

ive just got a full back peice a tattoo as a reward to myself and to be a substitute for SI, honestly the best thing i have done for a long time. Just dont get hooked like me!!!!
Even if you do end up falling of the waggon, look at it and thing "hey ive done it before...i can do it again" and it will still be serving a purpose :)

This is really weird- I've been planning to get a butterfly tattoo when I'm two years free as well!
I 'gree with the other two- even if you do slip up, it's a reminder of everything you managed in your two years free. It should also serve as an extra incentive to get through urges without SIing.
Massive congratulations on being over two years free, it's a great achievement :)

I got a tattoo of a lotus flower after a year of being free- I was worried that I might slip up too but my other half reassured me that even if I did the tattoo would be a constant reminder that I can do it. It's actually helped me a lot more than I realised it would.
I'm even thinking about getting another one to mark three years :)
You should go for it :) & well done for being strong and getting so far xx

wow, i was thinking of getting a butterfly tattoo as well! i've changed my mind now but it's still a beautiful idea.
my younger sister is getting a phoenix tattoo, also a beautiful symbol for recovery and beating your demons.
