I haven't read Deathly Hallows in foreeeeeeever and I only read it once, so I can't really comment a whole lot as to stuff they left out. BUT as a film I enjoyed it, I just felt it didn't quite deserve the hype it got.
Good Stuff:
- Snape. Alan Rickman seriously deserves an award for his performance in this movie, he was fantastic.
- Neville. I know he didn't get quite as much face time as he did in the book, but he was AWESOME. At the end of the movie I just wanted to hug him.
- The epilogue was a nice touch. I felt it was a little rushed, but Albus Potter was seriously the cutest thing EVER.
Bad Stuff:
- Harry and Voldemort's final battle. Earlier, when Molly Weasley kills Bellatrix, she explodes. Awesome, right? When Harry finally defeats Voldemort, he kinda just poofs into a cloud of dust. Very anticlimactic.
- The deaths of Fred, Remus, Tonks, etc. - Snape got a TON of attention for his death scene (which he rightfully deserved), but later it was just like "Oh, by the way, Fred died. So did Remus and Tonks. Just FYI."
Overall, I thought it was well done, I just wish they had paid a little more attention to certain characters.

When Voldemort dies and we just have to assume Harry walked into the Great Hall and said 'Oi! I just killed Voldy and he turned into a puff of dust and flakes of skin!"
Lavender Brown dying. So not canon!
Remus and Tonks (and Fred) needed more screentime about their deaths.
If Harry ends up marrying Ginny then they should have had more screen time together.*
In the 19 years later, Hermione and Harry look the same, Ginny and Ron look five years older and Draco looks 30 years older with a beard and balding!
Draco's choice. He shouldn't have chosen to walk back to the person who had just murdered the person who had saved him in the ROR.
The kiss in the COS was anticlimactic. And so was Ginny and Harry's.
Harry was meant to suggest they climb on the dragon in Gringotts in canon.
Best Lines:
Snape: "If anyone here knows any knowledge of Mr. Potter's movements this evening, I invite them to step forward... now. "
Harry: "Hermione, when have any of our plans actually ever worked? We plan, we get there, all hell breaks loose!"
Snape: "Always."*
Lily:*“Harry you are so loved.. Mama loves you.. Daddy loves you.. Harry, be safe. Be strong.”
Sirius: "Quicker than falling asleep."
Best Scene:
When Harry is *dead* and Voldemort and his army bring him out. Voldemort makes a an awesome speech and insults Ginny "Stupid girl, you cry for this?"
Draco (unfortunately but understandably) chooses to join his parents and Neville makes his epic speech.
Then Harry reanimates himself- the look on everyone's faces, especially Voldemort, is hilarious. He shoots a Confringo and then bolts and Voldemort gets rage-face and along with some of his Death Eaters, goes after him.
Altogether it was a magical film and Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter better win some kind of award.
Oh, I watched it yesterday. I cried a hundred times throughout the movie.
I found it very good, I have very few complaints about the adaptation. The thing that bothered me the most was how little they showed of Tonks, Lupin and Fred's deaths. Tonks is my favorite character in the book and I loved her and Lupin together and they were very neglected in the movies - not just this last one, but I'd say especially in this one.
Oh, am I the only one who laughed when they say Harry's dead and Voldy laughs a silly laugh like "hehehe"? I cracked up. This and when Neville steps to give the speech and he says "we were hoping for something better" or something like that. Don't get me wrong - I love Neville, but, come on, it was funny

This. Definitely agree about Tonks and Lupin not getting the screen time they deserved, but Fred and George have been my favorite characters since book one ("We'll send you a Hogwarts toilet seat!"), and I was VERY upset that Fred got a grand total of about 2 minutes onscreen, and 1 1/2 of those minutes he was DEAD. So uncool.

I was... disappointed. The book was poor, and I thought the film had a lot of scope to improve on it. I mean, the whole Battle of Hogwarts had an opportunity to really excel. Yes, it was quite nicely shot, but there was more of the 'magic in the sky' than any actual fighting. The deaths were hardly covered with Fred's death looking more like he was injured.
I was waiting for Molly's best bit, but I just don't think it delivered. She screamed more when the boys used the flying car in CoS.
Overall, I wouldn't pay to see it again. I wasn't disappointed because it wasn't like the book, I was disappointed because it wasn't what I thought it could be.
I thought it was good - but part one was better. The fight scene just sort of have happened and it was quick :S
And I thought Luna and Neville had kids in the epilogue too? Or did I imagine that?
I dunno - it just wasnt as good as it couldhave been.

It is a good film, but a few things they missed out made me really sad.
- The fight scene with Bellatrix. In the book it's a huge big thing and not something that's over in 3 seconds.
- Lack of Fred dying/lack of Percy (though they haven't made a big deal of Percy throughout the other films so I guess I can slightly forgive them)
- The fact Harry didn't actually kill Voldemort himself, he just exploded into dust after the wand was taken..Which isn't what happened. Voldemort the body still had some soul in him, I'm pretty sure, so Harry had to hit him with something. Not just watch him explode into dust.
- The fact he did explode into dust. "Hey guys, I killed Voldemort, hes turned into dust so I don't actually have any proof".
- The Malfoy family not really being explained, where they make Draco come back and leave.
- The fact Draco didn't stay ): (though in my own personal headcannon he's a good person and stays and gets together with Harry. True. It's true if I wish hard enough.)
- There was no nod between Harry & Draco at the end, on platform 9 3/4. That would have taken 2 seconds to do. NOT EVEN THAT.
I saw it last weekend & then twice more through the week. I loved it, so much. My friends literally had to sit me down outside on the wall after I saw the film for the first time & tell me that things were going to be okay, because I just could NOT stop crying. I was on the verge of tears all throughout the film - possibly because I knew it was the last time I'd be in the cinema seeing it & there would be no more. I cried when the Death Eaters attacked Hogwarts, I cried when Harry walked into the Great Hall & saw them all dead/dying, especially Fred... not so much Lupin & Tonks, which is strange because I cried when I was reading the book. I basically started bawling like a baby during Snape's memories & then when Harry found the Resurrection Stone & spoke to his parents... that just hit me hard.
I too believe that Alan Rickman should get an award for this film.
All in all it was fantastic & I didn't even mind that Harry snapped the Elder Wand or that they left a lot of things out. If it had been me, I'd have kept the Elder Wand & used it for personal gain! =D
Edit: Can somebody tell me what the big deal is with bloody Helena Bonham Carter? I can't stand her as an actress, & think somebody else could have played Bellatrix better.

saying "I've always wanted to do that spell"
like someone else said i hated that he snapped the elder wand! it was so stupid cause now he's has no wand now and it was such a powerful wand and also i still think it should have been Harry and Hermione or at least Harry with someone else apart from Ginny cause i really don't think they've any chemistry tbh but thats just my opinion :)

Anyway moving swiftly along, I loved Deathly Hallows Part 2. Just a couple of things I wasn't too thrilled about.
I don't know about anyone else, but I thought it didn't really explain properly that Harry was the true master of death as head all three hallows...or maybe it did and I'm just slightly thick.
I was delighted that "Not my daughter you bitch!" was in it but, like many above me have already stated, I really felt they could of given a bit more time to the fight between Molly and Bellatrix :-/
And the snapping of the elder wand?! Are they taking the freaking pistachio with that one?!
I suprisingly didn't cry. Alough I did tear up when Harry said he was ready to die, and at the epilouge 19 years later, and when the credits started to roll.
I think the movie was amazing, not as good as the book of course but it was definatly good.
I don't like how they changed what happened in the bank vault, nor do I like how Ron and Hermione finally kissed (Although I always knew they wouldn't do that right, because the movies never went into to S.P.E.W sub-story) I HATE that Harry snapped the elder wand, hate that they didn't do into what happened to Lupin and Tonk's son (Harry becoming God father, ect.) And I didn't like that they didn't actually show Fred(? or was it George??) Die. And they didn't really say much about Dumbledore's family. Oh, and I wish they would have explained more on the Ravenclaw sub plot.
Buut, I did like how they portrayed Snape's memories, Neville's speach, Neville getting to kill Nagini (I was terrified they were going to cut that and give it to another character!) Some lines they added that weren't in the book (Like Mcgonagall saying she's always wanted to use that spell) and LOVE that Molly Weasley still had her Bitch line. I can't remember if Bellatrix died like that in the book, but it was awesome too!
All in all, I was very happy with the movie. Of course there will be a few times I'm not happy with, and it will never replace the place in my heart that I have for the book but I am very pleased with it over all.
I still can't believe its over though, I grew up with these characters for so long, it makes you feel like you knew them or something. And for it to be just over, is hard.

A hundred plus years, and there's only one thing I've ever been sure of: you.
I know its fictional....but in what kind of world does nearly everyone end up married to people they went to school with!
Would've been more realistic if they'd all married randomers.
Well...when every (or almost every) magical person im the U.K. goes to the same school, its highly likely most of them are going to end up marrying each other. Some marry foreign wizards/withces and some marry muggles though.

In the book Harry didnt use the elder wand, apart from fixing his own wand.
