I'm looking for a forum/s and message boards that are just general. Non MH related just one for everyone about anything.
Anyone know of any? Preferably UK based.

i'm just gonna ask where they're going,
and hook up with them later.

Yeah, find an interest first and then have a look at forums I reckon.

Although while I'm here, I have to do a shout-out to www.buffy-boards.com xD

TSR is good as long as you're willing to wade through the crap.

What are your interests? There isn't really a 'general' forum that I know of, they all have a link to some sort of interest or commonality.

Digital Spy is probably one of the biggest/most popular General Discussion forums - it's got boards for General Discussion, Advice, showbiz, music, TV, soaps, food & drink, politics, loads of stuff.

TSR has a lot more to wade through, but then it also has a lot more users and moves a lot faster. It's good, but tends to be populated by a certain demographic.

And that's why I just stick to one of the subforums!

I looked at that site last night and it would be great. But I refuse to pay a fiver to use my 'free' email (msn or yahoo) account on it, just so they can 'verify' it.

www.killermovies.com/forums is a good "general" forum. It has, unsurprisingly, a lot about movies but there are loads of other forums there. That was my first forum :) I've not posted in ages but it used to be pretty awesome

I'm always crap at joining a new forum, it takes me ages to start posting without worrying about being totally shot down or interrupting or getting ignored xD

Life is about love, last minutes and lost evenings,
About fire in our bellies and furtive little feelings,
And the aching amplitudes that set our needles all a-flickering,
And help us with remembering that the only thing that's left to do is live.

Ah yeah, I forgot they make you pay with some e-mail addresses, sorry!

http://www.absolutepunk.net/ is great for music. It is fairly bitchy at times though.

Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her;
If you can bounce high, bounce for her too,
Till she cry "Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover,
I must have you!"

TheSite.org I believe is a very good 'general' forum and it's free, too.

I don't know how old you are, either but if you're 13-19 VT is an amazing forum. It's semi mental health based, but it's also got a great debate section and many other interesting sections. My mate is a Mod on there. People are generally quite friendly, though there are some twisted people on there.. at least in my experience.

Yeah, TSR is good, I use that too (with the same username).
I am not a massive fan of the new rep system though, grr.
