I've slipped up again
Can anyone offer me any words of hope please? I've messed up again and I had been clear for so long. I'd made it nearly 2 years without a relapse but now I've fallen back into my old ways and I've REALLY fallen.
I just need to hear something positive because right now I feel alone, ashamed, lost, confused, hopless and generally awful.
Please help. Even if it's just a crappy joke. I just need to know that there is someone out there who isn't judging me.
xXx

The end will be amazing. If it's not amazing, then it's not the end.

Fight for another day

First of all 2 years is amazing, something to be proud of. Slip ups happen to us all from time to time but the important thing is to pick yourself up and try again. You haven't wasted two years, you can move on from this. Take care

Two years is amazing - that's something to be so proud of. Slip ups happen and are part of recovery. Try to stay safe.

Hi,
I agree with everyone else ~ two years is absolutly amazing.
Do you know why you feel so negativly? Is it because you have harmed, or because of what caused you to self harm. Either way you should try to pick yourself up and work towards being free again. Slips ups are part of recovery and everyone is at risk of falling back into the trap at some point. But you've recognised that this is not where you want to be.
Perhaps you could write a list of everything you've gained since you started to recover. You may not have thought of all the things that have improved!
Recovery takes time. But with faith in yourself it is posible for everyone.
Keep us updated on how you are feeling.
RYL will never judge you.
Take care.

I'm going through the same thing right now <3. Two tears SI free, and I slipped up and it's so difficult now. I'm trying to remember what kept me from self-harming before, all the coping mechanisms I learned that helped. We can't stop the world around us, but we can control how we react to it! PM me if you'd like....
