I HATE 3D FILMS
I do not feel the need to watch my films in 3D
I do not like wearing annoying glasses through my films
and if I take them off my films all fuzzy:(
ANDDD my boyfriend can't see 3D (he has strange eyes) so it's unfair
and it's more expensive
and one day all the films will be 3D :(
and I was perfectly happy with 2D and the odd special 3D thing where things jumped out at you like muppet 3D vision at disney world
just because you've forgotten doesn't mean you're forgiven
Until the technology allows people to see 3D without special glasses, it's an utter waste of time. IMO 3D is overrated. When hologram projection takes off after 3D, where you're literally in the middle of a film, then I will give the technology some credit.

I'm not a huge fan really, but most films (apart from the recent Saw?) are available to watch in 2D as well. If it is one of the gimmicky types where things fly out at you (they've been able to do that for years!) watching it in 2D is quite funny because you can tell where it's meant to be. For the most part it just adds a little depth to the image.
3D films are better if they are filmed in 3D (like Avatar) rather than rendered into 3D in post-production, like Clash of the Titans.
They didn't really think it through for when DVDs and Blu-Rays are released though, since you can't watch it in 3D on them.
Can I join in the 3D hatred? I watch 3D but it just DOESNT look like its in 3D to me- it look completely normal so I end up paying more to watch a film and not getting the benefit.
God, ****ing 3D, what a waste.
I've yet to see a film where the 3D has actually enhanced it - particularly the disney films where it is so unnecessary.
I generally prefer 2D but I'm not particularly picky about it (although I truly resent paying extra for a 3D showing just because I can't make a 2D one), but for the odd film like Avatar 3D really enhanced the experience.

3D where it is designed to be 3D is cool.
Honey I shrunk the audience at disney Florida was amazing! (if its still there?). The dog sneezes and you get covered in droplets and at 9 years old I thought it was the best thing ever.
Normal films, in 3D, are pointless.
As is 3D football etc.

YES AGREED COMPLETELY.
Funny you mention that, I overheard someone on talkback radio say the same thing about honey i shrunk the audience, being amazing. I agree when something flies at you and you have to duck etc the 3D is cool. But in a normal movie, no.
The effects aren't brilliant and wearing 3D glasses over normal glasses is a pain.
And the cinema is expensive enough without having to pay extra...

It eluded us then, but that's no matter - tomorrow we
will run faster, stretch out our arms further...

borne back ceaselessly into the past.
I.. Just don't get it. The movement from video to DVD I understand because it drastically increased the life and quality of the film you're watching. But I just don't think that 3D actually increases the viewing fun much.
Ack, I don't know.
HISTA WAS amazing though! With the jets of air and blasts of water, gosh, I enjoyed it.
I'm with everyone else...it's pretty pointless. 3D doesn't exactly offend me, I'm just indifferent. it hasn't enhanced my viewing pleasure, it was cool the first time and now I'm just wondering why EVERYTHING has to be in 3D, especially when they aren't designed to be 3D like novelty disney theatres :)
and I really don't get the 3D TVs and 3D Sky box stuff. I don't want to sit at home with glasses on to watch the football. I certainly don't want to buy an extortionate amount of money to watch a few select programmes that have been filmed in 3D.

That's 4D, no? If it has air blasts and stuff?
They've been able to make 3D films with things flying out at you for years, hell, Alton Towers used to have one about fifteen years ago. And Universal's Terminator 2:3D has been raking in the crowds since 1996! The only difference is the glasses aren't made of red and blue sweetie wrappers any more.
3D sucks!! I've seen two films in 3D this year and didn't feel it enhanced it much. Plus I'm not sure I can even see it properly anyway because I have so little vision in my left eye (Y) Plus the glasses make my forehead REALLY ache but in a weird way and feels so uncomfortable...
Although I went to see some 3D thing at the IMAX cinema a few years ago and that was awesome, things were like coming at you and stuff...which is what I expected to happen again :/
Yes, I saw terminator 2 3D as well. (though my boyfriend doesn't believe me and thinks I dreamt it so thank you for proving its real!) in 1997/8 ish i think.
The thing with those though was that it was a novelty and a different experience, in specialty screens. And perhaps I remember it as being so good because it was the first time most people had really seen 3D, and because I was a kid.
