i dont have an issue with it but i know many people with various reading and writing difficulties find other colours easier. Green, blue and yellow tinted sheets (among other colours) are used as aids for kids in schools as are tinted glasses.
I can get a bit dazed and confused when there's a lot of black on white on a computer screen.
If there's more than a few sentences then I highlight everything and it's easier to read.
That's probably because I don't wear my glasses when I should sometimes >_>
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
I have blue eyes and am always sensitive to bright light. I use two monitors and keep the main one dim.
People who are farsighted can read better the more the light is reduced since the light is what makes things look blurry. Some glasses dont even have lenses but use opaque shields with tiny holes in them.
same, and sadly it does mean that i don't necessarily read long posts.
Yeah, I dont read long posts sometimes because its hard and I cant concentrate that well as it is. Though usually if a post is long, and set out in spaced paragraphs I can manage. Block text on computer screens is a nono.
I've heard that different forum skins are in the pipeline for V4. So you will be able to have white on blue writing etc all the time if you wanted which will hopefully help people.
^ I like that I idea, I find certain other forums so much easier to read because of the different colours. White text on black is good, as is black text on pale blue.
Like everyone says, block text on computers is always difficult to read...I think it's the combination of concentrating on the text & the light coming from the screen.
If black on white is a problem on paper too, it's worth getting your eyes tested.
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level & beat you with experience
Anything more than a page of A4 and I need to print it out. I just cannot read off of a computer screen. Same with block-text. I can handle longer posts as long as it is split into paragraphs.
A while back I downloaded some epic harry potter fanfiction by Cassandra Claire, it was basically three novels in their own right (Draco Dormiens, Draco Sinister and Draco Veritas) and I read them all on the computer.
Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…
you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.
I suffer with the same problem. i have irlen syndrome. i need blue paper or a blue tinted plastic ocver to put over text. it does get annoying cos you can't change the screen and you just end up straining your eyes and getting a headache. probaly worth getting it tested out though xx
when i fall, no one catch me alone lonely, i'll overdose slowly
get scared, i'll scream and shout
but you know it wont matter she'll be passing out
I have blue eyes and am always sensitive to bright light.
maybe thats why i'm always squinting
if i'm fully awake it dosen't bother me too too much. my eyes hurt sometimes but thats it.
Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her;
If you can bounce high, bounce for her too,
Till she cry "Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover,
I must have you!"
