There's probably already a thread out there like this, but I couldn't find it...
I'm creating a playlist of positive songs... Songs that will lift my spirits or my self-esteem... Songs that will make me happier, calmer, and make me feel good about myselff... Songs like Beautiful by Christina Aguilra (sp???) Survivor by Destiny's Child, and Beautiful you by Jonny Diaz...
I've got a huge playlist of positive songs from the time I spent in IP (music therapy was a big thing there and it was incredibly helpful). Will have a look on my iPod tonight and post a list tomorrow.

I give myself very good advice
But I very seldom follow it
Could explain the trouble that I'm always in...
Hmm What about,
Christina Aguilera - The Voice Within, Soar, Stronger, Stronger than ever.
Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For.
Gabrielle - Sunshine, Dreams.
Sugababes - Stronger
xx
Go Do - Jonsi
Alarm Call - Bjork
It's Not Up to You - Bjork
One Day - Bjork
Who is It - Bjork (To me, this song is an ode to the wonder of friendship. I suppose that if you're thinking about relationships & you're single, it might not have the same effect :-\ Check the lyrics first)
No Need to Explain - Lacuna Coil
My Wings - Lacuna Coil
What the World Needs Now is Love - (been performed by 100+ artists, so just pick your favourite)
Rusty Cage - Soundgarden
That's all...for now...
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level & beat you with experience
one more - superchick

fearless - daechelle
hang on - plumb
stand up - Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Natasha Beddingfield, Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, Carrie Underwood, Keyshia Cole, Leann Rimes, Ashanti & Ciara

victoria's secret, by sonata arctica ( Some people interpret as a person committing suicide and the afterlife, but it can also be about someone beating depression, either way, the chorus is pretty inspiring, it goes Dancing on the path and singing now you got away.
You can reach the goals that you have set from now on, every day.
There is no way you would go back now, oh no, those days are past.
Life is waiting for the one who loves to live, and it is not a secret... )
Ain't nothing gonna break my stride, nobody's gonna slow me down oh no, I've got to keep on moving... Perhaps more motivational than positive, works for me anyway!
Wonderful by Gary Go is great! Haven't listened to it in a while...hhmm maybe I should...
Emmmm...
Oh Brand New Day by Joshua Radin is also good.
I really like Star by Bryan Adams as well.
Be OK by Ingrid Michaelson is good too. Happy and upbeat.
I love Liberty Walk by Miley Cyrus too.
Think that's it just now : )

Happiness is like a Butterfly: The more you pursue it, the more it will elude you. But if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder...

Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her;
If you can bounce high, bounce for her too,
Till she cry "Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover,

................... ironic that this thread led me right to sadness... the site i found that song on before, for free, as a karma track, has changed, and no longer has it for free. :(
i shall hunt it down for you people to hear, its amazing and playing it on loop for a day got me past a record-breaking low point for me.
Half Psychotic Sick Hypnotic We sat and waited for the sea
To stretch out so that we could disappear
Into the endlessness of blue Into the horror of the truth We are far less than we knew
Is your smile upside down
Or did the sky fall to the ground?
Do you ever wish for amnesty from
The pain that's all around?
And you say...
There has got to be a better way
Well I say...
If you hold it in, it won't ever go away
So let the tears...all fall down
And watch your fears...all fall down
Well you've seen some dreams come true
And you've seen some nightmares too
And for you it's wishful thinking there'd be
Space between the two
And you say...
There has got to be a better way
Well I say...
Maybe we should pray and just
Give it to yesterday
So let the tears...all fall down
And watch your fears...all fall down
The tears fall from your eyes
To make a mirror turned towards me
And what I thought I left behind
Has come to rip into my reality
Well this is where it dies
The grief won't have control of me
I've been sanctified
By The One who has a hold of me
This is where it dies...
I've been sanctified
So let the tears...all fall down
And watch your fears...all fall down
