Do you believe in fate?

I totally do now.

I've been desperate for a new pet for ages, I have a cocker spaniel who is one years old now and I love her so much. Im 19 and am about to start the second year I am having to take out due to my mental health issues. Anyway im so so lonely, I have very friends so im going to get another pet.
My parents have said I can although im limited, they have agreed to rats but we're about to move house and I am going to be decorating my room reaaaaaally nicely and im not sure if it will fit a cage. What I really wanted most was a kitten, my mum has said no, no, no. I've been quite annoying but admitted defeat yesterday.
THEN I woke up this morning and my mum said come and meet a visitor and this cat, a gooooorgeous cat had come through my parents window in the middle of the night! They put her out three times and closed the windows but this morning they let her in and we fed her and I had a cuddle, she still keeps coming and trying to get in.

Now I know I should keep quiet, but how weird and spooky is that?! My Nana died a few weeks ago and im sure its her doing. My mum thinks so to. So, do you believe in fate? Do I shut up and keep quiet or follow the signs?

You hope REALLY hard that she's a stray, or has been abandoned. And that's not quite what you were asking, but yes. That way she gets to keep you. (We never own cats apparently. PFT!)

Shes so lovely though, black with white socks.
I want her :(

My mums come round to rabbits though so I guess its either a rabbit or two rats. I now I sound really fickle, but im going to put so much research in once I know what im allowed/would like.
I just need a new friend.

you will get the friend you need. i'm sorry if you have to give her up. but she seems to have already done some good. now you know your mom can't say no to a cat already in the house. ;)

and to the poll question, i most assuredly believe in fate. there has to be a reason that i have gone through everything that i have. sometimes it is the only comforting thought i have. and it gets me through some very hard times.

Cats will do what they want. One of my cats used to belong to a family down the road but she just kept turning up and we couldnt get rid of her so we eventually gave in and she's part of the family.

As for fate, i don't believe in it.

And the best part? You can keep me in your cupboard and I'm already trained for games like fetch and frisbee and I'll curl up on your lap and hide from your mum until she knows you have me. =]

Im not so sure, i mean there have been alot of thing in my life that somehow want me to be here, my mum wasnt supposed to have had kids, i had to be resussitated (sp) when i was born, i should have died a few times now.

But i havent, some people say thats fate.
