Triggering (SI) - It didn't hurt...

I cut a few times yesterday, and it was in the same places I've cut before, but then the last time I decided to cut somewhere else (my knee) and I cut deeper than I normally do (but still not deep compared to most people) but it didn't hurt. I've cut my knee before and it did hurt so I don't know why it didn't this time.

I'm not sure why because I didn't feel dissociated (can't spell) or anything and I was upset and triggered but not so much that the emotions would block out the pain or anything.

I've not felt pain once before but I was feeling dissociated then so I can understand it, but I just didn't feel anything for no reaosn and want to know if anyone else gets this?

I usually cut on my knee, because its the only way that mum && dad don't see it. But it dosen't really hurt when I cut them. I thought at first it's because I was really upset I blocked out all pain, but then I done it again,I wasn't really upset I just wanted release I guess. But I still didn't get any pain. I wonder the same thing.

It could be because of how you cut there, like if you hold the 'tool' differently there due to the angle or how sharp it is. But it could just be because you were focussing on the fact that you were doing it or the stuff that was going through your head at the time that meant you didn't really feel it hurt.

most of the time i cut, it doesnt hurt. It might be because your body has prepared for the pain because it is delibiarate. Not too sur. Take care hun x
