I think it depends with what you are selling and your pricing, i can give you some tips if you want? I havent had much of a problem selling but over the last 6 months id say ive made about £500 ish (then technology fails and i have to pay to get it fixed )

I was really frugal last semester and came out of uni with lots of money.

Just got my loan information for thsi year through.

Apart from tuition fees, I am getting 3.5k this year.

Last year I got 8kish.

And to make it worse? My rent is 4.2k.... So my loan doesn't even cover my most basic living cost...

dooom i am a skint ex-student. i quit because i couldn't afford it. now i'm working fifty hours a week to try and pay off overdraft/debts and i still have no monies. hate it.

Last year I got just enough to cover my costs, with a £400 bursary on top of that. So I managed to effectively break even with what I had in my pocket. This upcoming year I hope for more - though your getting less seems to be a bit of a problem. It's a shame they don't go further into the family situation and make a 3-4 year based estimate for entitlement, and then allow for that to be questioned if circumstances change but to otherwise allow that to remain consistent. It'd reduce paperwork and people would know where they're at without their future being put on the line. /rant

My biggest problem currently is that I have just got a job and am on 3 months of probation. Unfortunately that means I can't transfer to anywhere nearer my uni until then, so I'll have to pass my driving test and buy a car (which I would have had to do anyway) to then cope with a job which barely covers the fuel cost of getting myself there. All of this will last for a couple of months, which I would personally prefer to have put money towards books which the library seriously lacks for my course.

Yay for knowing I'll be penniless! Personally, it being unexpected would have been nicer.
