I did! I emailed them with my comments. I thought it was nice to see the girl looking so happy and healthy in the picture of her 21st. I thought the article was ok, if a little bit glamourising in places.
Im not sure if u can access it online! When Im feeling a bit more energetic I might be able to scan it in with text and attach it some how ( but I might nt cos Ive never done that b4, Im a bit useless!!)
This depends, of course, on the content of the article.
If it breaks RYL's Rules of Posting [such as being triggering, or glamorising - which you have mentioned above] then unfortunately you cannot post this article on the website, nor share links via PM.
yeh i read it today, and it was quite interersting. It was good to see that she was happy with showing her scars, especailly in the picture of her on holiday.
And i dont think its available online like loopylucy said, i think its just in the article in the magazine, but i may be wrong.
"In heaven all the interesting people are missing" (Nietzsche)
"In a mad world only the mad are sane" (Akira Kurosawa)
yeah i read it, thought it was quite good. I agree that it was nice to see her confident on holiday with her scars.
though, a lot of those kinda self harm stories in magazines seem to be similar *shrug*
umm i think its just a magazine article
"If only everyone could know and live with their inner craziness…people would be fairer and happier." Paulo Coelho
I bought it today at a magazine shop where you can buy international magazines. (By the way, it is very expensive to buy international magazines .)
I like the article, although I would have prefered if it had been longer.
In my opinion, it is good that the article tries to avoid clichés.
The girl is very brave to share her story and personal pictures.
I can't control my destiny.
I trust my soul. My only goal is just to be. (Rent)
I'm selfish, inpatient and a little insecure.
I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. (Marilyn Monroe)
I have Company and completely managed to miss this article. I'm going to go look now. I'll try scanning it in if I can find the article and if my scanner works! x
I bought the magazine, I thought it was ok, but it didn't really have that much in it about her I thought, it focused too much on when and how badly she used to cut, but I was still glad to see that she was happy and confident with her scars in it.
When or if this article is posted, could who ever posts it please send me a PM so I can make sure it is suitable content for RYL. If there are images of scars, I don't think any of the photos should be uploaded; as they are pictures of self-inflicted scars which goes against the rules of posting. However I am sure the written content can be, but again I'd like to have the chance to check that. :)
