Triggering (Abuse) - having problems with my neighbour *probably safe*

Ok i have a slight problem.

The guy from upstairs is moving and his sky dish is outside my window and he wants to take it with him. The problem is we're not going to be home at the same time before he leaves. So, my neighbour very kindly offered to take it down for him. This means that i'm going to be in the flat alone with him.

I dont know what to do the idea of having him in the flat creeps me out but i can't not let the guy upstairs have his dish back.

Is there anyone you can invite over at the same time? The uncle maybe? So you won't have to be alone with him?

I left him a not this morning telling him how i feel and asking him to back off. He left me one back appologising and promising to behave in future. So it looks like he's listening.

that's good and now that he is obviously aware of the problem, make sure you don't tolerate him pushing any boundaries at all. don't hesitate to talk to the police if you need to and being alone with him still probably isn't a good idea. hopefully he really is sorry but some people are very manipulative and will say that and then push it even farther. so just be careful.

Please be vigilant; even though he has apologized, that doesn't necessarily mean anything except that he has a good grasp on his social skills. I still don't think you would be wise to be alone with him. Can you get one or two of your friends to come over that day?

I agree with everybody else here... but I just wanted to add that I'm proud of you for speaking up to him. Good for you. :)

I hope you're doing all right, and he's backed off like he said he would.

I've only seen him once since. Things were a little awkward and he seems genuinly sorry. I think it's gonna be ok now.

yeah definitely don't let your guard down or trust him at all but that is good news he is backing off.
