McLaren is a joke
Crap manager at middlesbrough, worse for england.

Taking off england's best player for a start in joe cole, beckham should've gone, something clearly wasnt right with him. SWP was on the wrong side when he come on.

Carrick, where was he? Anonymous all night, no sign of positive play from him, good job he come off. Barry was an injection, should have started.

Frank didnt do anything apart from score the goal, gerrard should replace him after recovering from injury.

Now we know why paul robinson plays for tottenham, jens lehmann gets away with the howlers ;]

Micah Richards is one for the future, why the hell he went to CB when wes brown came on i dont know.

Owen should have scored, no two ways about it.
Smith isnt international class, some nice touches though

How england should have started, considering the crap they had in the squad:

David James in goal

Micah Richards at RB
John Terry as Sweeper
Shorey at LB

Barry on the left
Dyer on the right
Lumpard and Carrick in centre

Jermain Defoe as CF
Joe Cole on the left just off him and Shaun Wright-Phillips on the other side

cant believe they kept beckham on when he clearly wasnt match fit!! robinson made too many mistakes in the first half, so at least mclaren replaced him, and barry is a left footed player and aclaren didnt play him on the left side wtf!! and micah richards shouldve stayed at right back, although i think he couldve played anywhere x

Aaron who? He's on the wrong side of north london :P

David Bentley, blackburn winger, outstanding last season for them. Used to play for the might arsenal.
We should have never let him go.

No. He doesn't deserve to be picked for his country again after refusing to play in the U21 European Championship.

Didn't watch the match, but heard that England played crap, again. There's too many players who (subconsciously or not) play better for there clubs than the national team. We've got too many overrated flops in the squad when more promising talent is being left out - although I see us Qualifying, just.

It'll be better for the team and public if we didn't qualify for Euro '08.

Too right.

Our football team is so overrated at the moment and mclaren is a total joke.. Sven was bad but mclaren is worse. I can do a better job i'm sure and I would actually manage england for Free lol.

I think people are seeing now that sven can be good when given total access to his players, just look at what he did with Lazio and where he's got Man City.

But, if/when McLaren goes, who are we going to replace him with? It's not as if we have any outstanding candiates we could go for.

Statistically the best England manager of recent years. Yes, the football was dull, but we wouldn't be worrying about beating Israel in a qualifier if he was still in charge.

Ah he's alright. England are just not very good, especially with Fatty Frank and Gerrard screwing each other up. I think Chelsea should just buy the entire england team, so's they learn how to play together.
