History Project
I have a history report do on friday and was wondering if anyone knew where I could find information about Psychiatric Hospitals during the 1960s.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,
Thanks for the replies. I feel that I should mention that I live in the U.S. and it has to be about the 1960s in the U.S. because it is American (United States) History. I'm a junior. (one and about 3 weeks left of high school and then on to college)
I don't know if i answered your question or not Putain

I know of quite a few books related to the UK side of things. I'd get to your local library and hunt for books in the social/health care section. It'd be in the 300s [around 360] Dewey number wise. I've definitely seen lots of books on the background and history of UK psychiatric treatment. You could also go on Amazon to check out relevant titles. Internet research might be good too. Plus you could search "first hand accounts psychiatric hospital 1960s" for example.
