Yeah, he will always be the Demon Headmaster to me. But the Queen, her voice jarred with me. I doubt royalty will be speaking like that, especially not when the little girl was obviously very well spoken. And, is it just me, or does Moffat always use children in his stories? Not that it's a bad thing or anything, just interesting.
Tbh, I wanted a bit more emotion from the Doctor. OK, he can do angry, but can he do sad. He was about to 'kill' a creature that was the last of its kind, and was known to be a gentle giant. Yet he didn't really show any sadness to this.
It's not quite the same without David Tennent, he'll always be my Doctor, but Matt Smith is good, better than I thought he would be. I think I can get used to him and love the show again. I really liked the last two episodes. Amy is verty pretty :) And she makes me laugh, as does The Doctor, the two of them will make a great couple. :)
I thought the whole point on showing the Doctor with a gun was to emphasise that it was a new Doctor, and with the regeneration the personality also changes.

Definitely preferred this episode to the last one, and although I still have my reservations about Matt Smith's acting abilities, at least he seemed a bit more confident in the Doctor's shoes so he didn't come across quite as awkward.
I'm sorry, but I don't think a set of Rainbow Daleks is at all scary for children. Yes, they may be bigger and have a more gravelly voice, but bright colours are see as attractive and good. The old Cybermen were a lot scary than they are now, I just find them cute now.
Im sick of the daleks, i get they are the doctors arch enemy but do they have to be in every series, its getting rather boring "he defeats them and they come back and and again and so on". I didn like this episode, i get they are setting it up for a later episode where they come back, but im sick of them.
I agree the rainbow colours where just cute, so not scary.

I loved the new Daleks and I thought they were quite scary. I don't think the colours are a problem, they are big and make a statement, just like the daleks themselves. They are much more similar to old school daleks too.
There was a gold one, a white one and a red one (I think?) in the classic series so bright colours are nothing new. I do love the idea that they are a team, they all have something to do. There's a scientist, strategist, supreme, etc.
Matt Smith was great in this episode, his quietness in the corner while he was worrying about the plan of the daleks was great. I officially love him.
And the jammie dodger :D
And and and spitfires in space, how could you not love it?
Definitely agree they've been used too much, I think if RTD used them less then this episode would have been that bit better. Really can't blame Moffat for wanting to revamp the daleks too, really.

Why do you hate him? He's a fabulous actor. Would you say you were more of a Tennant lover than Who lover?
Don't think you could open your mind a bit, eh?
This episode was something of a let down compared to the previous one.
But guys, River's back next week! I'm very interested to see how they do it. Will the Doctor just bugger off for a couple of weeks to romance her, leaving Amy to get on with her wedding?
And of course, there's the Weeping Angels. I'm very pleased to see some of Moffat's best work returning.

The thing with river could be a bit confusing because you dont know at what point they became an item, it could have been on there 20th meeting for all we know, but it should be a good 2 parter

so is river the doctors wife in the future then? im confussed about the whole thing, i miss things sometimes? and i dont like her either she is bossy and a know it all! its ok when the doctor does it but when she does it, its just annoying!
I really dislike Amy Pond. Really. River, meh, I'm in two minds about her. I'm still waiting for some emotion from the Doctor too.
Is it just me, or does anyone else want them to shake up the 'structure' of the episodes a bit more? It is pretty much always the last twenty minutes that are the action/resolution.
