That's very true, but most of the people going to Alton Towers are coming from all around the country and so are unlikely to use public transport, so that's probably their thinking? They also like to use any excuse to charge us.

When I'll be going to AT I'll be using public transport. Largely because I don't think my friend's car would make it there and back.

Are thin and very light. People will walk off with them all the time. the one in our kitchen was kicked once. guy was in and out before we knew he was there. TV was all he nicked.
Peple have them all over the house, livingroom included.
I was meaning the comment above yours, never mind.
I'm not saying they don't get nicked, but there are easier things to carry/hide/move. My house has been done and the TV (not too dissimilar to that one) wasn't touched. Those TVs are not exactly light, even my flatscreen 19" is a sturdy weight.
You'll be staying in Alton and so you won't have far to travel on the bus anyway =]
