Triggering (SI) - I can't accept scars..
I can't accept the fact that my right arm is completely covered with hug scars. I have pale skin so they will always look awful no matter how much bio oil or whatever scar cream I try. I regret that moment I fist cut and scratched my arm. it looks horrible now.
I wonder if my arm will ever look normal again. is there a way to make scars go away?

You can get skin grafts but you'd still have scars just a different type.
There is also special make up that can be used (usually by people who've been burned/victim of a tragedy)
Also they should, after time fade to thin white lines, so they won't look as bad as they do now.
Me, i just always wear gloves.
But i have considered getting a sleeve tattoo to cover them up but they won't tattoo unless scar tissue is 5+ years old.
Hope this has helped abit.

Agreed, cover them up if you're not confident enough to show them. And they will fade over time.
Twist the way you look at it - maybe the regret will prevent you from cutting again.
Everytime you get the urge to, just remember how you feel now.
And, if they don't fade completely, you can accept them - there's nothing wrong with that.
They're part of who you are. Who you were. The struggles you went through, and - the fact that they're fading - the proof that you're strong enough to move on.

Aww hun hugs i know how you feel and i was exactly like you thinking i wont be able to accept them as there so bad etc but after time they do fade and though i can notice them really easy compared to how they were they have faded alot. Make up is a good idea also and as BrokenButStillBreathing has said it could well put you off cutting for a bit when you get an urge , I know i do , if i see my scars i tend not to cut as i dont want another scar. Eventhough alot of people are ashamed of their scars etc think of it this way that the scars show your strong to go through whats happened in your life and still be here.

thanks guys,It usually depends on my mood as far as accepting scars go. I am hopeful that when I get my good dose of vitamin D this spring and summer should help heal,I hope.
