Triggering (SI) - why are my cuts sore?

I relapsed and cut my forearm last Friday. I scratched it two times since and it's still a bit red and sore. but I never felt that sore feeling from past cutting..does that mean something bad? I don't see any sign of infection.

I don't know about you, but mine generally hurt a lot for a while, especially when touched or the muscle stretched, but really it depends on where it is/ how deep it is and all that.
But if it is unusual for you then maybe it's a good idea to get it checked out?

I started cutting about a mounth ago and mine always hurt like that, but some times if you only barly cut the first layer of skin then it hurts more that offten. Or if it is a new blade than it is cleaner than an old one . but because u scrached it that may have irratated it. If it like that for more than 1 mounth than get it looked at.

I think it is because I used a new knife. my mother hid the one i liked but I found it again. I think it's because the one I like is clean and I disinfect it. and the other one is clean to but doesn't cut as easy so I must of irritated my skin.

i'm not sure.. all my cuts tend to hurt for a couple of days after. i think its normal and doesnt necessarily mean its infected.
Just keep an eye on it and if it gets any worse or doesnt get better you should get it checked out by your GP.

...My smile's just the armour I built when I was alone...

There was some part of me that hurt so badly, that I wouldn't ever be able to forget it.
It faded but the memories could bring it back any second, keeping me in the moment.
It would never fully heal. I could never really be free. I could never really be fixed.
Now I just have to work out how to live whilst being broken.
I feel like I'm dying.

Yeah you may have irritated the surrounding skin and it is likely to be a bit sore/swollen.
Mine tend to hurt more if I've used something pretty blunt.

If it starts throbbing or you see redness spreading from the cuts it could be infected so use antiseptic cream and cover (which you should really do anyway)
