Okay, a number of my friends (quite a lot of them) have said that it is rubbish!
They didn't like it at all.
So I think I'll wait until it comes out on DVD to see it.
I went to see it in 2d on Friday.
If i'm honest i was slightly disappointed. I wouldn't say it's a bad film, i just personally wouldn't go to see it again.
Saying that i thought it was the best portrayal of Alice & Wonderland i've ever seen (though i don't particularly like the story) , and again i loved Johnny Depp as the mad hatter<3.
"I'll lean on you and you lean on me and we'll be okay"
The only thing I didnt like was the way Anne Hathaway kept her arms up for the entire thing. Did this really annoy anybody else or is it just me? Also her eyebrows and lipstick were, in my opinion, too dark to fit in with the rest of the costume. Lighter colours could well have been used in contrast with the white as well.
.
I watched an interview with Tim Burton and he said that the reason the White quuen is the way that she is, is because she's a littlebit mad, and also has a dark side. hense the makeup and the arms.
still going into the film knowing this... it still really annoyed me, but i loved the character she played
generally loved the film, bit disappointed with the ending but other than that i thought it was great :)
i watched the movie a few days ago and i really loved it and i think this is the best potrayal of alice in wonderland i have ever seen and i think it is the closest portrayal to the book
I found it generally entertaining. we saw it in 3D and I thought it was visually a bit dark, was expecting the colours to be a bit more vibrant and bright and stuff. Was a few laugh out loud moments.
It wasn't amazing though.
I do think the White Queen had a personality [to whoever said she didn't], it was just more subtle than some of the other characters.
The voice of the caterpillar was a character in Harry Potter which really amused me.
Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants, what your parents want. What do you want?
To all older people .Does anyone remember the old Alice in Wonderland films. The really dark ones with the Jabberwocky?
Through a glass darkly ?maybe ,it was a long time ago.Thye were so scary at the time ,very dark.
I dont like Tim Burton films so prob wont see this ,but was he inspired by these old ones ,they were truly dark.
It became like a sort of prison. Encased in a silver shell, words so full of bleeding need spilled like drops on dry leaves. And all the while laughter prevailed a long way from here. Nowhere land, nowhere time, nowhere space.
Saw this on Friday and I liked it. Though I'd say it did not live up to the hype surrounding it but it was still good. Saw it in 3D and to be honest didn't really rate that. Didn't think it was worth it and would have been happier seeing it in 2D.
Definately worth viewing at some point but if you're only so-so about seeing it then I'd just wait for the DVD and rent it out.

Saw it in 2d today and loved it!
I thought it was really good it dragged a little sometimes but overall it was fabulous! I agree about Anne Hathaway she was crap lol and I laughed everytime she came on the screen because of the way she was walking and waving her arms about!
Johnny Depp's dance at the end made me uber happy!
