I just saw it tonight, but in 2D because I prefer that. Visually, it was amazing - I would expect nothing less of Tim Burton, and Danny Elfman's music was as eerie as ever.
However, Anne Hathaway's performance was completely lackluster. By far, the most impressive performances were delivered by Johnny Depp and (as much as I dislike her) Helena Bonham Carter.
I didn't really care for the storyline - the whole point is that Alice returns to Wonderland to complete a quest...while I was hoping it would be more like a re-vamp of the book/Disney movie, which could have been just as good, if not better.
Got to love that Cheshire cat, though.
Im glad it didnt follow the original story as the original doesnt have much of a story, so it allowed for much more emotions to be brought forward esp from the mad hatter, he ended up turning into this deep character.
It was really good.

Loved it. 3d was awesome! The only thing I didnt like was the way Anne Hathaway kept her arms up for the entire thing. Did this really annoy anybody else or is it just me? Also her eyebrows and lipstick were, in my opinion, too dark to fit in with the rest of the costume. Lighter colours could well have been used in contrast with the white as well.
Also the development of the Mad Hatter's character was fab. I liked the way he told a little of his background and he wasnt fully mad the entire time. But his moods could flip within 2 seconds!
I went to see it last night. I thought it was amazing. To disagree with what other people have said, I actually thought that Anne Hathaway's performance was one of the best. It was saccharine and pantomime and totally in-keeping with the tone of the film, imo. Brilliant. Johnny Depp was (as always) the star of the show, though, with his portrayal of the Mad Hatter, which was far sadder than the other depictions of him, I thought. Definitely something I'll be recommending, especially in 3D!
I don't have glasses. My left eye is pretty much null and void so there's no point. Everytime i've tried 3D glasses in the past everything just looks funny.
I'm looking forward to seeing this, probably when all the hype has died down and the cinema ain't as crowded though.
