Throw them in the fire or keep them in a box?

What do you do with pictures you have with your exes? Or even things they've given you?

I usually keep them and laugh later on. But when its recent breakup, I store them or throw them away because of bitterness.

Well with me i keep the one that remind me of good ties but the others i fold up and lock in a metal box

Pictures mostly throw away/delete. But with things I neither throw them out or hide them, I'd hate to throw out a nice bracelet or a pretty top purely because an ex bought me them,seems a bit of a waste

I don't usually like throwing things away because there were always good memories as well as bad ones. If i still have a copy saved on my laptop/memory stick I have been known to tear up pictures into tiny pieces when I've wanted to hurt something but not me or anyone else lol.

I keep them. They were and always will be a part of my life and I can't change that, so I don't want to erase the memories :) Plus, good memories are always good to keep, even if they were in the past.

i've still got a lot of things, i still have every photo of me & an ex, although they were removed from social networking sites & such as i didn't feel the need to remind people i was once with them.
but presents, oh i keep them.
i also keep anything left at my home, i asked him if he wanted the stuff back, i didn't get a reply, so i ended up with a new printer, countless more dvds & books, furniture & pjs.

pictures i throw out. gifts, it depends. I have a ring an old gf gave me I still wear. but I tossed out a teddy bear another on gave me.

I threw out pics of a gal I almost married (we were still friends though) . Then she became a model and I couldn't get away from her pics anyway lol.

I make a point not to be in pictures/have them. If I'm going out with some one I already know what they look like, I don't need to be reminded.
I usually keep things given to me, however.

With my most significant ex I threw a few things away in anger first off but once I'd calmed down I kept photos and things that hadn't got chucked out or smashed in the rage and upset.
Letters, photos, presents and other sentimental memorabilia from all past relationships I have kept even though I don't look at it often.

Keep them in a box..I rarely delve into the box though.
There is far to much stuff in there that's bound to upset me.

It depends.My ex of 6 years ,I kept all the pics ,though I tore up one and sellotaped it back together again after! .However if its someone I kinda was seeing and they did something to annoy me ,I get rid of their numbers ,everything.The ones I loved ,I keep everything.Im sentimental that way.

Except from the ring my last ex bought me...I wear it a lot...I feel nothing sentimental towards it, but it's a pretty ring!!!

once i decided to try and burn everything in a coke can in my room. except the can got really hot (duh..) and the fire spread outside the can and to my carpet. and it was frightening.

so now i keep everything.
