i'm excited for this.
though i hope very very much that it's better than Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.

I can see my friend making me go. We take turns on which films to see. Doesn't mean I need to like the film though. Also, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was rubbish. Roald Dahl wrote the screenplay for the original film, so both are 'authentic Dahl'. And just because a film follows a book more does not necessarily make it better.

Yeah, I agree that the original Charlie & The Chocolate factory was better than the Johnny Depp one.

You only need one ! mark.
And so did the other one, I think. I haven't seen it for a while. Besides, I totally enjoyed the other one more, the Oompa Loompas in the Johnnt Depp one annoyed me.

You mean Oompa Loompa. Singluar. There only was one that they just copied hundreds of times. The Wilder version was written by Dahl, and yes things were changed.

I'm just really waiting until this has been out for a while and Tim Burton announces his next movie will be a "dark re-imagining" of the Wizard of Oz.

i can't wait for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland comes out!!! as a little girl my favorite movie was Disney's Alice in Wonderland (still is one of my favorite movies) And i love the stuff Tim Burton does so putting both together i think it will be an awesome movie. i want to go opening night but it depends on what night my nephew celebrates his birthday.

Have you actually read Through the Looking Glass? It's a twisted kinda book.

But yeah, if you don't want to watch it and thinks it's gonna be crap... then hooray for you? Make a "i hate tim burton thread" if it means so much to you lol

Well, no, this is the review and recommendations board. What anyone says doesn't have to be entirely positive. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, positive or negative.

No, I'm saying it'll follow the same style of the others. That style which I don't like. I'm allowed my opinion. I think he tries to be 'dark' for the sake of it.

Guys, the board isnt 'the positive review' board, a negative review is just as justified.I think telling someone to go make another thread or implying they shouldnt post because theyre not saying its going to be awesome is a bit much.

I think it looks pretty good, its coming out the day after my bday so i'll probably see it!x

But just saying it's going to suck without giving any reasons isn't a review. And it's about this movie, not any other tim burton movie *shrugs*

But people are saying its going to be awesome and they havent seen it either, works both ways surely. The point Im making is that for whatever reason negative reviews/comments are allowed too, theyre just as valid.
