I really don't get Kubrick at all. I've seen a good few of his films numerous times and they're very, very good but I don't get the whole hype about them being so awesome. Maybe that's just me.
I think it's the attention to detail he puts in some of them. Like, there's always a hell of a lot going on and you have to really think. Nothing on the surface is usually the point of the film, he likes to lead the viewer along into the rabbit hole. It's always personal preference anyhow, i just like a lot of the complexity I despised 2001 at first but then i started appreciating the depth of it.

I liked the film as well as the graphics and the message behind it ,but Im creative so I would admire the work put into creating something so visual also ,its just something that would be in me as I watch something .
mariah was okay in it. i thought she had a much bigger role than she did because i saw her doing press for the movie but really, she's in the movie for like 20 mins tops, and she pulls off a pretty good performance.
the main girl, precious and her mother though.. amazing amazing performances.
So I was there thinking what will I watch and I said 'Up in the Air' would be pretty crap and I can half watch it kinda.
OMG I was soooooooooo surprised ,It was excellent .Really good ,George Clonney is the man .Tbh its not for a younger audience I dont think but its very very good.Im still shocked it was so good cos the promo for it wasnt great.
Watched Dorain Gray .Found it entertaining ,full of opulence and guilty pleasures to say the least.Colin Firth was good in it ,though I usually dont like him much.
