I had my scan today. They said that the baby was well. My due date is a week later than I thought from the sizing of the baby, which is 11th of June. The scan pictures aren't all that great because the baby decided it would hide behind the placenta after another scanner came through to check that the trainee had gotten the measurments correct!
I had back pain the other night, Emma, and I got my partner to massage my back for a bit, but mine could have been down to lying on the sofa all day from being ill. Maybe that's something you could try?
hi am hopefully back.
we finally moved out of my parent's house, and have got our net sorted!
both kids have had gastroenteritis and bronchiolitus and chloe sounds like she has it again.
christmas was rubbish, my gran died the week before and funeral was xmas eve. then we got home at about 9pm xmas eve to no heating, luckily dad sorted it, then we woke up to a huge bulge in the plaster in front room ceiling where a burst pipe had dripped all night. took til 2pm xmas day for dad and landlord to solder and blowtorch pipes back together,
hohum
hope it was better for you guys, oh we got chloe a rabbit for christmas - called Holly (we adopted her with the name) and she is gorgeous, pics to follow. chloe calls her 'raddit' and stomps her feet whenever holly does her 'thumping' thing. she sits and lets chloe stroke her ears through the bars, really gentle and tame, oh and the hamster snuffed it after 4 weeks of is he, isn't he? we'd go to find a ox to dispose of him in and find him moved!

Sorry to hear about your gran, Mandi.
My Christmas was alright, quiet which was just what I needed before the baby comes in June! Although, I was gutted that I couldn't eat pate, but I'm sure I'll make up for it next year!
im looking for some advice thinking about prams and stuff now, what have you guys got and what sort of features would you recommend?
i thought i wanted a 3 wheeler with pneumatic tyres but in the reviews ive read they burst easily and are expensive to get repaired
then i thought i wanted a traditional pram with big wheels but they dont look very manoverable and when its converted to push chair it seems high off the ground.
so ... help we are planning to go to a pram shop soon but just some ideas of what features to look for would be great
i live in a village so plan to do alot of walking with baby.
The best one I've had was a 3 wheeler with pneumatic wheels! They've never punctured, but if they do, the best place to get them fixed is a bike shop. It was soooo easy to steer. I could steer it easily with just one hand while holding onto my toddler when she decided she wanted to walk. And the big bouncy wheels made it easy to push over kerbs and potholes, etc. It also made it glide along really smoothly.
I've just bought a 'Firstwheels City Twin', which is a double buggy... and is massive! I love it though, the seats are a decent size (my daughter's nearly 3). A lot of double buggies seem to have tiny seats!
And you can have one facing forward and the other facing back.
Two important things I look for in a buggy - lockable, swivel front wheels, and a good recline position (so baby can lie flat when he is a toddler and falls asleep).
pushchair... go for a parent facing model i amtrying to get rid of my travel system for one of these as i hate baby being lay flat in the pushchair part and not being able to see her. carseat is too heavy to lug about everywhere.

Im pregnant woo hoo 5 wks and very excited, but anxious about my booking appointment with the midwives - I know they take bloods and will see my scars, but I've never disclosed to a health professional before only my councellor. I'm really worried about what they will do/ want to do. Anybody got any advice please??
xo
I had bloods taken at my booking appointment, but I was 13 weeks when I had mine.
Had more bloods taken on Thursday to check for spinabifeta and Down's Syndrome. Midwife found the baby's heart beat. Very stong so that's made me happy =]
