SI Question - Wound help

I went to A&E to have a cut sorted out, stupidly 'refused' to have it stitched so had steristrips and glue instead.
However, it has completely re-opened.
What should I do?
(It's about 2 inches above my knee)
I know it can't be stitched now but should I wash the glue out and attempt to put new steri strips on?Or just leave it?
Thanks :]

Should've said something but I've said it enough.

The best thing would be to go back to the A&E and let them sort it. If it is deep enough that they wanted to stitch it in the first place it probably really needs to be closed.

Well it breaks my heart to see you this way,
The beauty in life, where's it gone?
And somebody told me you were doing okay,
Somehow I guess they were wrong.

Thanks for the reply :]
How would they close it?
I do have steristrips here so if they would just steristrip it I may as well do it myself I guess.

Well really now because of the length of time the options are running out.

You need to get it looked at really and because of it's position and the fact that they wanted to get it stitched at first then they MAY do that but it depends because the time is a problem as it makes wounds more likely to become infected and break-down the longer you leave them before you stitch them and the last thing you want is to stitch in an infection.

If the steri-strips + glue did not work then just you steri-stripping them won't. But, if you go back they can also clean it up and bandage it in a way where it is more likely to heal too which is hard/ impossible for you to do alone at home almost all the time.

There is also a chance that they may close them with staples too but we can't really say as we've not dealt with it so you are better to go back and get it checked out.
