I'm new!

hello everyone. my name is chrissy and next year i will be 40 yrs old. i bet i'm one of the oldest people on the boards here. I was married for 17 yrs until my husband started his midlife crisis and dumped me for a motorcycle lol. anyway, i have a 16 yr old son who is clean from drugs and alcohol and doesn't SI. **Takes a bow for raising him to be a good kid**

i have been into SI for about 5 yrs and i want to stop. i'm so tired of it all that when i do cut it's starting to bore me.

I hope to use this site to take my life back and perhaps help others to do the same.

Welcome! I only joined yesterday so we can muddle through together if you like (although I've still not worked out how to add buddies - such a technophobe!!). I'm 29 so reckon I'm probably one of the older ones too. Just shows the world it's not a teenage fad, eh?!

I'm very happy to welcome some more older people to RYL - I'm 37 too (same as longing tears - she and I are twins!! *joke*) ... but it definitely is nice to have a few more oldies about the place!

I am also 40! Makes me feel kind of ancient around here but I have found this to be the only place where other people say the things I think in my head. Makes me feel like I'm not quite so alone in the world...
