I like using the English language correctly because it looks better, reads easier and because I can. I can't stand it when people don't type properly either, I find it hard to take the content seriously and it looks pathetic. Even if it is 'just' the internet I still think it's important to put a good impression across; personally.
But if you can't help it then so be it.
I once had an admin of a forum change my thread title.
Ok, so the forum had a weird rule where you had to put the first letter of each word in Capital Letters Like This, [and you got an infraction if you didn't...] but get this. He put in an apostrophe before the s of my pluralised word. I was gobsmacked! English and teaching graduate and ex-teacher that I am.
I do indeed have a thing about grammar etc.
However I do give some leeway, as when I was in my early 20s I had a real *thing* about using ; a LOT. I took to heart too much the thing drummed into me at school of 'no comma without a conjunction'!
I dont care about it online, it annoys me more that people get annoyed about it. :P
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
I like good grammar, it makes me feel warm in my tummy.
And just what everyone else has said =]
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
I <3 spell checker in my browser. It makes my writing a little more readable, especially if im sending out official messages.
I like paragraphs as it makes things easier to read.
Other than that i just type it an often dont even correct typos lol (unless its something official) after all its just online and as long as its readable then its all good.
The dyslexia confuses my punctuation.
I struggle to know how and where to use commas, colons, paragraphs appropriately or to understand if i have added the correct punctuation.
Capitals at beginning of sentence is better though so i have been trying now to add in caps.
But the english language confuses the hell out of me :/

I'm sorry but that has nothing to do with the form of dyslexia I have or the forms I have ever heard of.
I also find it kind of mind-boggling that people sometimes claim they have dyslexia and thus use text-speak, I'd have thought normal spelling would be easier for them than text
QFT I know text speak makes me crazy. I can't read it.

Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her;
If you can bounce high, bounce for her too,
Till she cry "Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover,
I must have you!"

Im sorry but i've been through the WRAT test, Edinborough reading test, digit span test and various other tests and have been demed moderately dyslexic.

Dyslexia is not just about spelling and reading
I know that very well. It spills over into almost everything. It makes math generally suck. 165 can look like 156 or 195. Also if I look at things too quickly the letter b or d or p can be switched.
But it makes some things very easy. I know in chemistry I can move around structures and look at them from different angles all in my head.

It has its pros and cons i agree and can aid in other areas.
Perhaps i wasn't clear?
Yes im dyslexic, but i do struggle with the structure. Perhaps it sounded as if i attributed or said that is all that happens with it. Otherwise i may be here till the cows come home lol
Maths is a weak area for me too, but that doesn't mean all areas of subjects are a weakness

thanks for clearing that up.
