Is there anyone else going through the process of UCAS at the moment and finding it as hard to deal with as I am?
I want the words to magically appear in my head for me to write them, but sadly that isn't the case. I don't even know how to start this properly :(

Blah I have already done all of this once and now I have to do it all again because I changed my mind abotu what I want to do! I haven't even started writing my personal statement.. I am putting it off >.<

I was doing this the same time last year! If anyone needs a personal statement that was apparently quite good (my school used it as a template for the year below apparently) for psychology, which tied in having depression, pm me and I'll send it to you :)
Just remember to tie in everything to the course you want to do. Don't go on about all your extra curricular activities, you don't need to put that much about them in.
But yeah, go with whatever feels right... if you're really into the subject you want to apply for, they'll get an idea of it from your PS!

the one i did before was uber good,got me 6 offers, one uni reduced the entry requirement for me based on it yadda yadda, but i cant tell what i have to put because im a mature student, i think its a different angle :/

Oh god everytime I go into tutorial I leave nearly in tears I am so so stressed over it! It can kiss my ars* very much so too.
Tomorrow is when I next have tutorial and I'm so scared I'm shaking. It kills me!!
Gawwwwddd its so annoying! The irish system is so much simpler. I have my personal statement and stuff done though. My UCAS deadline is 15th of October. Early much! Im applying for medicine in Belfast :)

It's a letter you write that gets sent off with your university application. It basically tells the universities you're applying to why you want to study the course, why you are suitable for it, why they should take you as a student, talk about your extra curricular stuff e.t.c you just sell yourself basically.
I haven't started mine yet, i sort of know what i want to write but i can't start it, all the opening sentences i write are so rubbish. Hopefully once i have the opening the rest should be easier.

I did one last year too, got acepted then declined! felt so good at the time, now regretting it! also have to have mine done by next friday! eeks! not even spoken to my guidance teacher about the reference! :(

I did mines last year and was in the exact same position!
The main thing to remember is to sell yourself. If it comes across as you being big-headed then you're on the right track!
Another suggestion is to show your enthusiasm and knowledge about the subject you want to study (For example, in mines i stated what psychology actually is and which fields i was particularly interested in and why)
Once you get started it's actually surprising how much you can actually write!
