hey. if you dont mind me asking... what kind of burn did you make? friction burn? burn with a lighter? what?
i know what it feels like to friction burn. i like it. i usually only use it when i cant get my hand on a blade though.

aww hun, from someone that is heavily into burning and have been for the last 10 yrs it really aint the way to go...the risk of infection, the huge scarring, the risk of nerve damage to that area are sooooo much higher than with cutting.
obviously neither is the best way to go...but the addiction is phenominal with the burning as you are already finding out.

I know how you feel.
I was the same when I burnt for the first time.
I wanted more and more, and felt like it was so much better than cutting.
Try to avoid it if you can... I know it's hard
But it's really not worth it.
Burning scars are awful.
Try and keep talking, and distract yourself.

you never answered my question........... What type of burning do you do? Friction burn [kinda like a rug burn, but kinda not] or a different type of burning?

Maybe you should look at the reasons you're burning - it's just as harmful as cutting and a poor coping skill, what are the reasons behind it hun, what are you feeling? You can feel good and relieved by doing other things, perhaps we should work on what those things might be for you. Have a look at this link here.
I have used burning in the past (haven't burned as a method since May). However, even the smallest of burns have scarred very noticeably and I struggled with infection in the tiniest of burns - the type of infection with red lines going to your heart.
Burns are far more prone to infections and complications. Please think and remember this hun.
